LT3, I am grinding for SNE this year.
I'm curious as to why you save your grind to the end of the year??? ♦ That would make it so stressful for myself to grind this way.
I'm 6 days ahead of SNE pace and I still think I should be trying harder to get ahead for the times when I'm sick and stuff and can't grind. Is it because it forces you to grind harder when you know you need XX vpp's?

Getting SNE with 6m hypers is easy. Nothing much else to say. I can get 1k VPP/hr without even trying. I don't necessarily plan out and leave it til the end of the year, it just happened that way the last 2 years. I am hoping to be done by 1st of December this year with some more consistent grinding during the first 6 months.
The problem with making SNE with 6m hypers is that breaking even in those games is a feat in itself and the difference between making 50k pre-rb and losing 50k pre-rb is basically a coin flip for the regs playing (skill matters somewhat, but the variance is so huge that there is never a guaranteed pre-rb profit even over 50k games). There are even some regs, who have huge BRs, that generally make 2-3x SNE but lose 150-200k every year (ending up with a 100-200k profit after rb).

i wanna ask a stuped question but since you played over 102892571839571 of hypers you ll probably have smth to say about it
i have 4% on 7s and 0% on 15s with over 20k distance on both. do you think its even possible? the difference seems to be too great for close limits. or do you think it could be unbelievable situation where i got longterm up on 7s and than longterm down on 15s? =\
its just that if its anywhere close to the truth its more profitable for me to play 7s O_O

probably just variance. 20k games isn't that much these days. Every year I see more and more great players have bad runs over huge samples. We used to think 20k games in hypers was enough to see long term ROI. Now, I think most people would say 100k+.

Theoretically, everyone has a optimal stake (or mix of stakes) where the hourly is maximum, at least at the current level of skill development, and shouldn't go higher until getting better, even if the bankroll allows. As an extreme example, 99.9% of lowstake grinders would be crushed by Phil Galfond at NL10K and PLO5K even if they had 10000 BI. I can't really comment on differences between skill levels, but I guess 15s are where good regs start to appear, so they should indeed be a bit tougher.

i have another weird question 
do you think ROI can depend on time of day you play? i tried to use "time - hourly" report in HM1 to check it, but there are only bb/100 there im not sure how close it correlates with roi in the end. It shows the best bb\100 hours at the evening msk (around peak of players online that is). i have not too big sample though anyway =\
what do you think of this matter?
Can't you filter hands by time and check usual stats like total net $ won? (Fwiw, time filters exist in PT4.)
I probably have too small a sample to state how big the difference in winrates is, but basing on what colour codes prevail at my tables at different times, I'm sure that, say, for iPoker cash PLO games, Latin / Canadian evenings (Moscow early mornings 
) are definitely fishier, for an obvious reason :f_biggrin:, than peak hours that are nitfests.
Maybe it's different in Stars STTs because they're more popular among Russian fish, and there are more former Americans (who're now Mexicans or Canadians) there (Collin alone is quite big a factor ), but the idea remains the same: look not at the winrate (that converges too slowly), but at the general impression of the composition of your tables.
