I'm afraid Fran also has big plans for this championship _evil: Losing to him in the final would be still a great result for you. (Losing to me in the semifinal - definitely not :f_grin: )

P.S. Respect for the no sugar, no salt campaign - it would take ages for me to reject sugar :f_cry:

So a lot of stuff happened the last few days. HU championship, No salt, no sugar thing, and poker in general.

No sugar, no salt:
This goes really well. My body is asking for sugar most of the time since it's really hard to go cold turkey on that one. I notice that I need to eat more actually rather than less to keep that need out of the way. The no salt part is really good for me aswell. In the first week I lossed 6 pounds. Most of that is probably that less salt in your body means that you can hold a lower amount of liquid. Thus losing weight because of it. I'm sure though that I'm eating less bad calories making for weight loss aswell.
So I am managing it so far, but still have 2.5 weeks roughly and we will see what the whole difference has been. The biggest change so far is being a bit better concentrated and being able to sleep much better than I used to.

Poker in general:
I'm definetly beating the $5-$20ish limit by a mile. From $5-$9 I have a ROI of 25% (small sample but have to use them to fill up during non peak hours) and I have a 5% ROI on the $10-$15-$20 combined (much bigger sample that actually gives a accurate result). So I am very happy with that. Tim64 has helped me a great deal with that and I am very happy I decided to start working with him.

HU Championship:
I played the semi-finals today. We agreed on best of 5 with regular blind levels. The match was really fast and I took it down 4-0 (we played 2 matches at a time hence the 4th game). To be fair Tony didn't really connect in the all-ins, although I was ahead 70-80% of the all-ins. He was really unfortunet not to win the first game as he had me down to 300 chips after a couple of hands. I came back with 10bb push got back to 700, got AA and worked my way to getting him down to 200-300 chips.
I think overall I played the match really well, he was limping a lot which I don't think works in the agressive games of today and I tried to get him out of his comfort zone. Besides the limping he had another thing working against him imo. I think he 3-bet shoved to wide vs my opens (that or he expected me to fold way more than I did). For instances reshoving K2o for 20-22bb effective is not going to be profitable. I think my calling range is just to wide for that to be good. I think I won the last 2 games atleast because of those shoves. All combined it was a tough match though.
The 4-0 was definetly not deserved like that!!

Anyway I will have to wait until sunday to see who my next opponent will be in the Final. I am really looking forward to that match-up. It's either Frankie or Lemon36. TBH I prefer to play vs frankie, just because I've talked to him a bit before and in blogs and stuff. I'm stoked for it and really am going to do my best to take the victory. Also I hope the commentators will root for me a bit more next time (sigh...)

I will post a graph probably somewhere at the end of the month!

Congrats on reaching the finals!
Now win it and become the champ _cool:

P.S. K2o for 20+bb 3 bet shove can be both + and - EV = depending on your min raise/calling range. If he saw you open ATC and call 25% he can do this all day long :) If you opened 55-65% , things start to change in that area. Overall 3 bet shoving 20+bb no need for it HU as there is plenty of space to play post flop.

Thanks and will do my best.

As for the K2o I know he can shove all day long if I raise 100% which I didn't. I think he either misread me or just didn't know. Either way I think even if it's +EV is sub-optimal. Especially if you consider the games being regular and you do not need to take those risks. The blind levels are so long that there will be way better spots than that imo. Looking forward to the final!

Long time without a update. I haven't been able to play much poker for 2 weeks. I was going for a new target, unfortunetly I had many set backs on the road. I didn't mind it to much since it made sure I spend all my time on school stuff. I needed that aswell to pass this semester.

So I started playing monday again. So far 416 games in. Another 200ish today and tomorrow will make a 800 week easily. After that I will try and keep that up. It will make sure I play roughly 3k games a month and rake about $4000. The rakeback alone will be insane. I will post a graph probably at the end of the month alone. Might decide otherwise along the way though!

My challenge for no sugar no salt has finished. I decided to keep doing no sugar since I really feel a lot better and will allow myself some extra salt but not in the extend I used to do. I really feel I have had a lot of benefits doing this challenge and it also turned out not to be to hard. The hardest thing to do is find stuff that you eat instead of taking candy/chips. After a while carrots and such get boring _cool:.

If you guys have any tips on what to eat on the side, let me know.

As for now, I will continue playing. I really am enjoying myself again after two weeks of no poker

@ Frankie: We are busy with planning it... The problem is that I asked to see the video from you and Lemon before playing, since otherwise there is a unfair advantage, with my games being broadcasted live for the last 2 rounds.

Yesterday played another 219 games. Really happy with my volume so far. Though I do not recommend playing 8 hours straight, it does help getting huge volume. I noticed my results drop for the last 40 games so I think I will go back to 2x 4 hour session. Maybe build it slowly once I get more comfortable.

All in all I think the my 6max strategy still needs a lot of tweaking. So there is lots of room for improvement still. I'm hopefull for the future of this test, but do need to reming myself to study a bit more.

Right now I wake-up at 14:00 and sleep at around 06:00 I want to change that to sleep at 04:00 and wake-up at 11:00. So that will be my goal for next week.

Since it is eastern next week I will have 1 day less grinding time so need to figure out how to solve that. At this point volume goal will be 600+ games for next week!

Absolutely reasonable demand,

btw. some sick working habits sir, do you think it's possible to get action at $30 level every day like this. (220+ games) - with some $60 adds when it fills?

You are now playing 15s or 7s or both? Didn't get that. What are your plans for future?

Sorry for that many questions, but I'm really interested in these because I lately have some SNG challenges in mind, and changing my mind every day about the format and volume I should play Classic poker mind I guess

All the best,
Fran

@ Frankie, not sure if you got my skype? If not I left you a friend request to exchange. I rather discuss some of the things you asked in person. I am curious about your SNG Challenge though. Anything you can let go in here, might have some thoughts I can share.

Regular stuff:
I still can't believe how it is possible to be so thrilled to have played 19 games on a day that I had no intention to play any games at all. And when I play 200 games on a normal day, I think it's what I should have done. Those 19 games from today where a absolute bonus.

Tomorrow I will also play some games. I will have to babysit on my cousin and there will be a lot of time that she will be a sleep and my girlfriend watches some random popstar bullshit show. So I should have some time to spend. Not going to set a game goal for tomorrow, because you know something hot might get in the way _cool:.

I got some plans aswell for my health. Right now I am doing 2x a week fitness (mostly cardio with some abs) and Tennis whenever I feel like it. Tennis will be a lot more in the summer because I have a lot of tournaments planned with my brother. We are some what similar to the Bryan brothers (we just lack a bit of skill)

Once I have made €1000 pre rakeback this month or €1500 pre rakeback in May I will buy a slow juicer. If that doesn't happen I will get one for my birthday in June... Expect to get it this month though.
