Hi there, I am a 5$-20$ MTT grinder on party and I just had this hand pop up. Sorry, I am posting this on this forum rather than the lforum for lower tournaments, but I am currently in the process of reading hands here in this one, cause the discussions seem much more constructive.

The hand was mildly confusing because the 3bettor is a low stakes grinder, way better than me, plays 28/20/9.9 over 360 hands. This min-raise seemed indicative of a very strong range. Am I right to have folded here? We are 2nd in chips out of 12 players remaining.

Party No-Limit Hold'em Tournament, 2,500/5,000 Blinds (6 handed) - Party Converter Tool from http://poker-tools.flopturnriver.com/Hand-Converter.php

CO (t56,598)

Hero's M: 15.53

Preflop: Hero is BB with J, J

Flop: (t126,340) K, J, 8 (3 players)
MP checks, Button bets t35,000, MP raises t67,100, Button calls t32,100

Turn: (t260,540) 2 (3 players)

River: (t260,540) 9 (3 players)

Total pot: t260,540

Results below:

Spoiler

Button had A, A (one pair, Aces).

its hard spot cos there is dead main pot cos 1 player i AI and he is just min raising with obv no FEQ vs MP, if he is solid (by solid i want to say TAG, cos his range is face up obv) he will/should have top range imo smth like KK/AA cos i think he will shove weaker range

in game i probaly puke and really dont know what will do, cos if we just call with plan to shove on low flops is ugly cos MP is still to act behind us,

very ugly spot
so congrats u outplay him, ul u hit set and gona be CL but _thumbsup:

and btw dont post results

I could not fold, but yes, here the fold would be the right choice I think.

This, though I'm not confident about it. If I had TT in BU's spot I'd also prefer a call from MP's range probably. That being said even if villain's range WAS TT+ AQ+ we should fold without fold equity because of the ICM tax.

It looks like a good fold, though in-game my range here is always JJ+ AK. Our actual range is probably KK+ in this spot.
