It might be a little nitty, but against unknown I usually believe for the first time. It's not that common that someone start out at a new table with a cold 4bet bluff. So I wouldn't shove without further information, we are too deep for that. Also folding seems too weak, so IP I'm just calling and I play postflop. This way if he's light we keep his whole range is, which is nice and if he has a monster we loose less than with shoving.

Would just fold most of time I think shove would be spew and I don't really like call cos you just don't know how tight this 4b range is.

Yea kinda agree, it is shove or fold spot cos imo we r not that deep to call any way cos if we call pot is 40k and villain has 60 k behind

And btw if u r all for niting up and folding... What range should we shove here?

For me then fold > call > shove. I think even calling is better here then shove.
Personally I'd shove something like QQ, KK, AK and somethime call with AA, AK. Might also call with AQs and JJ. AQo and TT are close, but I tend to agree with you and find a way to fold.

I think vs this sizing calling reduces variance and is just better imo - with QQ+/AK (you can also then call JJ too - think you have to often call one fold turn with JJ though)

Now what if villain in bb is reg?
a) if he knows us
b) if we know him that he is reg/good but dont have much history/we r kinda unknown to him

What we do with aq in this spot? What range we shove?

idk the fact you say he kinda tank shoves and this sizing just makes me think is super strong - like idk I think when you shove like all you ever fold out is AQ cos he has to have a hand cos he commits vs shorty

hero fold TT sometimes, probably almost always fold 77-99 and AQ/AJ cos probably he is cbeting flop and we got to fold, maybe he got KQs/Axs idk the fact he is unknown and is CO/BTN/BB dinamic and ofcorse is big 27$ where really people dont know what they r doing and why... idk is hard spot generaly

Yeah idk is better to just let it go without dynamic/history imo

Getting all-in for 50bb seems to be mistake.
If I feel BB is making move I think call is more profitable than shoving or taking some 5bet lines. That way I keep in his worse Qx, Ax hands and being ip I likely can also take pot away even unimproved.

best regards,

Hi all,

In the big 27$ I think we have to fold here. I don't say this often, but there are better spots (way better spots).

Folding >>>>>> *, not sure if calling or shoving is better. The price we're getting isn't that great as he sized it pretty sensibly. As a result flatting isn't amazing even though our hand is incredibly easy to play postflop generally.

chenny why u think shoving is bad?
can u elaborate a litle bit more please...

is it cos u dont think we get enough folds/call from worse/flips when we shove? or cos u think his 4beting range is super tight and we r just smashing our head in the wall? or is it cos stack sizes? or...?

Should be a tight range. Stacksizes are pretty good: our risk/reward isn't bad. Also tournament-life wise, we don't really need to put all our chips in on a 5bet bluff when we can pick up the free money from the table.
