NL2 FR - Should this be laid down?

after i read your last few posted hand i have to advise you: stop playing poker, cuz you suck really bad. Start reading a bit, learn how to play and then try some real money poker. Otherwise nothing good is coming.

about the hand, dont donk turn.

Since you only called preflop you leave his range pretty wide (a lot of steals). Due to that I would say that you have to call flop. But don't donk the turn unless you are willing to fold to a raise. Once you get raised there you are most likely never ahead. He might have a 2, J9, 99 or an overpair and the only value hand that he could have (that you beat) is something like KJ or maybe QJ (both with flush draws).

Rather ck/ca the turn and then decide on the river whether you think if he would three barrel with something worst.

Easiest option though. Defend it with a 3B and fold to a 4B.

In the lower limits most people play very straight forward. The easiest way to beat those limits is to play solid and assume that everyone just plays their hand. Also, don't stack off with just top pair.

Lastly, just judging from his stats he seems like a regular that most likely plays something like 6-12 tables and will never stack you off with something worst than TPTK.

Also, when you look at the board. What kind of draws do you see that he could ship with that you are ahead off?

Thanks brinky, When i play my A game i make profits. But in almost every session i have one of these hands that i just play awfully.

Calling turn was horrible, i see that i will never be ahead in this situation against a regular. I have a hard time folding TPTK, which is the biggest reason i'm still not profiting in the microstakes.

Question: Is defending wtih AJ viable? if the Villain has a high AS? If it's a low AS i prefer folding pre because of being OOP.

The only draws i'm ahead of on the turn is QT, T8 and he wouldn't shove with those so it should've been an easy fold.

1 month into online poker has been rough, only thanks to bankroll management am i still playing. I'm improving, but what keeps me down is making noob mistakes where i loose an entire buying once in a while.

Well, we all make mistackes. Its more about do we learn from our mistackes.

Concerning this hand:

Pre: AJ is more 3-bet hand than a call hand. There are some exceptions when u know other players and try to extract more value from AJ postflop. In al other situations fold or 3-bet. There are hands which u will just call because u dont want to get a 4-bet and fold your hand: suited broadways, suited A, small-middel pairs up to 99.

Flop. U must call the flop and see whats gonna happen next.

Turn. Never donk. Why? U probably neven get a call from weaker hands. So just check fold/call. Most of the time im folding when he bets more than a half pot.

River. Check fold when he bets again. U almost never win here. U can only beat AQ/A10 no other hands.
