Villain: AK
Pre: He just flat calls pre for balancing.
Flop: He bets 1/2 pot so someone could see it as weakness and might go for c-raise with air/draw/whatever. When Hero is the one who raises, it's possible that he could also have some two pairs/sets so getting it in here might be overplaying.
Turn: T is not the best card for villain because Hero could have some Tx in his range. He decides to call to keep the bluffs in Hero's range.
River: When Hero checks, villain thinks that his hand looks very much like a busted draw so he shoves hoping that Hero wants actually play a hero and call.
Hero: 88
Pre: Call for set-mining.
Flop: Standard c-raise.
Turn: Standard 2nd barrel.
River: Hero knows that villain knows that Hero should bet the turn 100/100 after c-raise on flop. Betting would look super strong so he checks so villain could at least try to bluff.

Villain calls, so with only one pair he wouldn't do this, so 98s and 87s are no options anymore.
Hero becomes nervous because villain called again. So he thinks: has villain the T???
River 2d = a blank, doesn't change the situation
Why does hero check on the river? If he has the nuts he would bet for value.
So he can have a FH and is afraid of a four-of-a-kind or a better FH and that's why he checks and tries to see to showdown without risking his whole stack.
Villain overbets the pot and goes all in. Does he have the nuts or does he think he has the best hand and simply wants all the money in?
I think both have very strong made hands, otherwise they wouldn't go to showdown and wouldn't put in their whole stack.
Without a strong made hand they would have folded on turn or river.
So my answer is:
Villain on the Button: KT and assumes that he has the best hand and that's why he goes all in.
Hero on BB: 88 and 2nd best hand.
I think hero has A 10 and villain has 88 I come to this conclusion because hero was raising the flop bets the turn and then checks the river which makes me think he was unsure about his hand and probably felt he was pot committed to call the river. Whilst the villain was calling all bets then the shove on the river made it look he was confident that he had the best hand from the flop
hero: 810 suited - hero completed preflop with the suited one gapper in a 3 way pot vs co opening range and btn flatting range which are both presumably wide. hero flopped bottom 2 and check raised for protection and value. hand improved to a boat on the turn so barreled for value. on the river straights and flushed both missed so hero checked and gave villain a chance to bluff all his missed draws.
Villain: A10o- flatted pre vs btn open, called xr on flop from hero with middle pair top kicker on draw heavy board. turned trips called heros turn barrel to let him continue bluffing on missed river. When hero checks river villain knows hero is a boss and might look him up with A high missed nut flush draw so he value shoves
Hero: 88
Villain : K-10
On the flop hero check-raise with trips Villain calls with 2 pair.
On the turn hero bet for value with full house and Villain slow play his full.
On the river hero thinks that he will get more value if he check and villain bluff him, so he check. Villain go for value with his all-in and hero calls.
First Villain's shove on the river I think is either a very strong hand or a busted draw. Hero's line looks strong. I would say 88, TT, Kx? My answer is : hero wanted to let villain bluff, so he decided to x/c 88. Also villain realised that has to shove KT there.
