Poker for living!? tips pls!

I studied in Mexico, its a great place to live. Monterrey, DF, Cancun/Playa del Carmen are some of the places I liked. Great food and cheap country, can easily live there for 1500us$/month for a normal life style.
Colombia is also worth checking out if you want an alternative to Thailand smile

Its interesting to see such opinion about Mexico. What I have heard from people is that there are lot of criminals drug dealers, even police is afraid of them and dont fight, the army fights vs them.

Or they dont really know what they are saying.

Mexico has its fair bit of problems in that direction. Both the police and the military are heavily infiltrated by the cartels, as far as I know the only force that is not is the special police force specializing in dealing with the cartels.

You see that part from time to time if you live in mexico, but the cartels primary earning is exporting drugs to usa/canada. Because of that the chances of running into trouble with them are very low if you just stay out of it.

No place is perfect but in mexico I would be more afraid of the government. Still I would say its a great place to live considering the pros and cons.

Poker is illegal in Thailand. This isn't a big concern, but regardless it should be said.
Internet is quite shaky.

I have had similar internet connection as I have in Sweden. So for a penny more you can probably get a more solid internet connection.
And in fact the poker bit is illegal, but that only concerns live play.

The political climate is idd abit wobbly, but aslong as you aren't in bangkok you won't notice. I've been in bangkok in the late 2013, while the political climate was very hefty. I only noticed daily demonstrating people, not more than that.
And I lived in the very centrum of bangkok.
