Hi

BTN 351 hands: 29/21 AF 5.8, 3bet 9.2, flop cbet 70%, turn cbet 36%
BB in 57 hands: 77/67 AF 1.1

1.- having this player on BTN, would you open this hand?

2.- given his wide 3bet, I think his 3bet range has a lot of hands that dominates what I have, so HU I would fold, but with the cold call from BB and relative position postflop, I decide to call, what do you think about this?

3.- on flop, TP + weak GS and no draw to hit better 2 pair than J9, is a ch/fold? What make me doubt is the backdoor draws that I have

Thanks and regards

Poker Stars, $0.10/$0.25 No Limit Omaha Cash, 6 Players

SB: $22.25 (89 bb)
BB: $169.08 (676.3 bb)
UTG: $24.29 (97.2 bb)
MP: $35.82 (143.3 bb)
Hero (CO): $28.08 (112.3 bb)
BTN: $38.66 (154.6 bb)

Preflop: Hero is CO with 8♠ 7♠ 6♣ J♣
2 folds, Hero raises to $0.75, BTN raises to $2.50, SB folds, BB calls $2.25, Hero calls $1.75

Flop: ($7.60) 9♦ 4♣ J♦ (3 players)
BB checks, Hero checks, BTN bets $5, BB folds, Hero?

1. I open this hand with any player On the BTN, but i wont blame you for folding if you are not comfortable playing a 3b pot postflop oop.

2. I think its the other way around, sure he sometimes has you dominated, but often you will flop pair+wrap when he flops pair+overs, pair+oesd. I would be rather worried facing a 7-6% 3betting range.
When a third player calls it actually weakens your hand significantly, because now your straights/flushdraws are dominated more often. It's close, maybe you could fold this pre 3way.

3. As played:
We cannot x/c here vs an aggressive opponent 3way, his cbetting range should be quite strong here on such a drawy board.
You may consider lead/folding this hand, as you said you have some backdoor potential.
BTN will have a difficult spot with a player left to act and has to play totally honest.
Once he folds its easy to play vs a perceived weaker opponent IP.

Hi,

vs an agro 3bettor it's very close. If you think you have an edge postflop, why not. If not just fold.

I wouldn't fold to the 3bet ever though. Precisely because he 3bets wide he should have some weaker hands.

I would just sigh fold this flop probably. He bets into 2 ppl, he should have a good hand.

Regards,

Skod
