couldn't sleep so read a bit and played a few hands. 400 hands of NL10 6max. 62bb/100.

My stats were 26/18/3.5 with 6.5% 3bet. since I was only playing one table I didn't use a HUD, but already had villain marked as a maniac. after 20-30 hands he was 3betting, stabbing at pots, raising, check raising etc.. but usually with some sense. A controlled maniac IMO / lagtard.

If I'm villain, I would minraise fold my donkbet. My shove is polarized, but it's 42% pot odds, and I'm 45% to win.. so about break even + FE makes it easily profitable shove IMO.

I don't have the patience ATM to break down the hand combos but I'd like to look at this in more detail. what do you think?

(rough calculation is he has to fold 52% of the time to be profitable - his opening range is wiide enough and he can only continue with 8.7 or so % of hands. kinda close?)

I'm going to stick at NL10 for a while, with 100BI BRM - It's a good place to get back in practice and ready to crush the next limit. (NL$16?)

I hadn't logged in since about when the WC started - and look I'm at gold status! I didn't even see the notification email so it's a nice surprise. I think I won the contest, and hope I didn't waste too much time not being here!

Perfect timing too, since I am back to playing cash for a spell - to break the monotony and strict time constraints of tourney playing every day

I also had a tilty -50BI on the SNG's which helped make the decision to go improve my game a bit more, and play where I think I have more edge than flipping micro donkaments - if I had much edge at all. 99.3% on OPR and the money was too small for the size of the swings.

So to cash. I reread a couple of books and watched a lot of videos (even while playing listening to them in the background) I went to sleep with videos on so it would permeate my brain in the night through osmosis.

I 2-tabled NL5 making sure to profile players and play to their weaknesses, get them to make mistakes. I also tightened up a little bit in some spots, but still playing a LAG style when appropriate. Of course at NL5 you'd think nobody folds, but they can.. not always but they still can. NL10 is a little but not that much better. Keeping my red line above zero is a balance of aggression and takes careful noticing of who's doing what at your tables.

Today I 9-tabled NL10 for the first time in a long time. I felt good, and lost a couple of stacks, but as you can see it went well.. I don't want to stop, even though I'm pretty tired.

Noticing the gold is great, I'll take the time to go through all the material as I won 16BI today, and think I should take shots at NL16 already. I think I could do well at NL100 from what I've seen, but I need a $3k roll, and that's going to take something while I'm cashing out half of my BR every month.

Been a good 3 days of poker. I think I only tilted one or two buy ins in the 18 hours I've played.

I'm having a lot of success with ABC poker, and staying aggressive, but keeping losses small when possible. NL10 is fairly straightforward and there's no need to fight too much for the moneys.

I looked at NL16 but it isn't like NL10 at all, at least at these hours.. it's more reggy and definitely more aggro pf - if my winrate at NL10 is 1.6x what it would be at NL16, I should probably stick around and skip to NL25.

Two cashouts in the last week, so moving up a bit slower than I should. I think maybe one more cashout and start taking shots at NL25 if things continue going well.

As you'll note I'm way above EV, and while some is suckouts, I'm about even in that respect. Where I've been gaining ground is pushing stacks, making villain call off too much money with poor EV.

I spent a lot of time on my game and browsing the Gold videos. Also been trying to eat better and exercise, and playing guitar helps defuse after or during a grind.

I started playing zoom due to being too lazy to table select, so why not random. I've been playing NL5, mainly because there are so many bad players there that my winrate is fairly huge.
