Identify the luckbox at your table.
When he bets, fold.
If it's you -- it won't last

Poker is gambling so don't be a complete nerd about it
gamble with the best of it.

The skill comes in knowing when you have "the best of it".

I watched an hour of the one-drop and was astounded not by what crap they called with pre-flop, but rather by how good that hands were that they folded.

So the REAL skill is having the nerve to fold when necessary.

Cheers,

a) If in doubt, listen to metza, he knows - and he's funny.

b) Don't listen to me, I'm bluffing and I'm not funny.

When you find that you're card dead, embrace it.
Practice folding _biggrin:
Use the time to observe other players.

There is no point in burning chips you may need later on.

Ditto for Holdem .

Someone I know once busted out of a live tournament on the very first hand with trip queens. Villain had a full house. Taught him a valuable lesson though.
Embarrassment prevents me from admitting who that person was.

Find the brightly coloured fold button on your screen and practice using it.
