The question regards the overall gameplan with this type of hand. We have a strong hand which plays well, however, we are deep and OOP. I wonder what approach you'd take here. I feel that most people would go for a c/r on this board. What I sort of dislike is the problem of getting 3bet sometimes. Sure we have a strong hand, but once we get 3bet here we have to hope he has some dominated draw. Often he'll have KK/88 and we only have 37% against that, plus he has positional advantage. Once he 3bets our hand is reduced to a flip (a quite good one or rather bad one) and robbed of any playability and disguise. Even if we don't get 3bet the hand doesn't print as much money as most people think imo, as we are OOP we can't expect too much money from worse hands.
If we instead just call we play a pot which is much too small for our hand and we are OOP, so we face the danger of him checking behind the turn which decreases the potsize even more. We also allow him to make 2pairs etc.
I dislike c/c more than c/r so I'd favor a c/r here, but I'm not super happy with it.
Other options would be to 3bet pre (especially this deep it's not that much of a problem, plus we have T8 which covers some otherwise dangerous boards, so atm I lean towards 3betting) or lead flop.
Spoiler
I'm posting this because the hand went as follows and I'm not happy with it
