SB posts SB 0.4 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.4 BB) Hero has 2♣ A♣

UTG calls 1 BB, UTG+1 raises to 4 BB, Hero calls 4 BB, fold, fold, CO calls 4 BB, fold, fold, fold, UTG calls 3 BB

Flop: (17.4 BB, 4 players) K♥ A♠ K♣
UTG checks, UTG+1 checks, Hero checks, CO checks

Turn: (17.4 BB, 4 players) 3♣
UTG checks, UTG+1 checks, Hero??

Hero decided to bet 9bb here instead of checking, because
-was thinking I should have called a small bet on non-flush river
-one of villains was prob holding better Ax
-betting myself would build pot now when I still get chance to hit flush
-maybe once in a while I could make villain fold a better Ax on turn ( like an A5s on turn, although i realise not very likely)
-If one of villains would have bluffed big on river I would have folded, so in a way i was protecting my showdownvalue, Also did no think villains would have bluffed on turn and pushed me out of pot once I bet, did not see many Kx in villains range that would valueraise either

questions: -If I checked turn, should I have called a small bet on non-flush river?
-if turn was checked and river flush, how big should i have bet to get value from Ax or lost Kx?
-if turn was checked and river blanked and got checked to me, should I have gone for some ultrathin value or just checkbehind?
-Is there any logic in my reasoning for betting or is just checking behind on turn always standard play here?

ps: I realise the call preflop with A2s there from mp is debatable, just hoping to get into a multiway with nutflushdraw here, maybe risk is to great to get squeezed or UTG was limping monster, was mainly thinking about implieds and hoping to get into a multiway in position with nuts

pre is ok, turn bet is fine only from the perspective to charge draws because you might have the best hand and to prevent pockets from getting a freecard to 2 outs. :f_biggrin:
"no one" is ever folding an Ax to one bet, nor should they (you don't rep Kx, and your hand is too strong to bluff anyway). if you think there is a high probability someone has a better Ax just check.

there are merits to betting one street (be it turn or river) but i think i tend towards checking this down.

Hi,

Flop is better to check, we have at best 2 streets of value and not afraid of being out drawn.

Turn we should bet by here for value against lower pocket pairs and then maybe check river or bet for thin value against non believers.

Thanks
