We have a good blocker, no blocker to possible KJT or Qx hands, we beat trips.
Only reason to fold is that on the turn villain might want us to catch up and then get paid off, hence checking the turn and betting the river because he thinks getting paid off is more likely than CO betting. Seems like a good tactical play to me.
For us tactically this could be a fold, but strategically it is certainly a call. I'd call and take a note if shown a FH. Remember this type of spot and collect experience to exploit the population in the future. If you don't know the correct play right now, it's important to not overfold your top range until you know it.

PS: Fold pre. Horrible hand, just horrible. Not even playable if DS. It's basically a naked nut suit. The sidecards are utter crap.

The nut suit doesn't translate into any sort of EV if we can't extract value in some way. The main source of EV comes from hitting the flush on an un-paired board, then putting in more bets. We cannot just stick in it with a naked FD particularly often, so we have to have something to go with it. But what exactly? We rely more on FE after hitting something than on pushing our EQ advantage, because we don't have an advantage most of the time. We're also in one of the worst positions.
The openraise size is way too large for this hand to be a clear call. Against 2bb it's easy, 2,5bb probably also still a call. Against 3bb+ we must ask ourselves what exactly it is that creates our EV, because both the odds and SPR are not particularly good for us.

call pre is standard with the odds.

Here villain is repping very thin and we have a lot of blockers, so i honestly wouldn't mind a call if he was agressive. Check the river agression i guess ♦
