Hi

This hand from BIG $2 Final Table. 7 players left. I think I know I played it right.

But should I be folding this hand in any case?

Poker Stars $2.00+$0.20 No Limit Hold'em Tournament - t25000/t50000 Blinds + t6250 - 7 players

CO: t2149294 M = 18.10
BTN: t2111527 M = 17.78
SB: t461823 M = 3.89
BB: t1837416 M = 15.47
UTG: t169021 M = 1.42
UTG+1: t2052170 M = 17.28
Hero (MP): t809749 M = 6.82

Pre Flop: (t118750) Hero is MP with 8♥ A♥
1 fold, UTG+1 calls t50000, Hero calls t50000, 2 folds, SB calls t25000, BB checks

Flop: (t243750) 4♥ J♥ 8♠ (4 players)
SB bets t405573 all in, BB folds, UTG+1 folds, Hero calls t405573

on the flop theres nothing u can do differently (in my opinion)...

But i think its borderline criminal to overlimp with A8s with such a short stack. make your decision preflop and you dont have to secondguess yourself...

Thank you for the evaluation.

I didn't realize I overlimped before posting. Yes that was a mistake.

What could have been my open raise size?

Had I been a bit more short I think I would have shoved pre. I think I was trying to play the hand post flop.

I would never limp there instead I would push all in or fold depends on the opponents.

With less than 4 BBs you have to shove with any suited ace without any hesitation. More than likely you'll never see a better hand for the rest of the session. IDK about this board, but the SB might have folded a crappy hand like J-8. I know that I would have.
