Hello,

MP opener is a known 'loose-regular' so I opted for a 3bet and face a 4bet jam from BB. Dont have any info on him, he seems good (28/22 over 78 hands). Since it is still early game what range would you go here? TT+ AKs?
PKR, $30 Buy-in (150/300 blinds, 25 ante) No Limit Hold'em Tournament, 7 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

SB: 11,150 (37.2 bb)
BB: 11,655 (38.9 bb)
MP1: 13,126 (43.8 bb)
MP2: 20,480 (68.3 bb)
MP3: 1,675 (5.6 bb)
CO: 26,490 (88.3 bb)
Hero (BTN): 20,749 (69.2 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BTN with Q A
MP1 raises to 600, 3 folds, Hero raises to 1,766, SB folds, BB raises to 11,630 and is all-in, Hero ??

Smaler 3 bet sizing 1300-1500
I think calling off or folding depends on timeing and previous history ( did he tank shove or snap, were u agro, 3 beting folding to 4 bets, did u show bad hands when u 3 bet etc, what hands did BB show at showdown and how did he played them agro or pasive etc)

Given stats and in vacum i call cos i think his range is smth like 22-jj, A8s+, AT+, KQ+, KTs,KJs, QJs +/-

Hi all,

Looks like a 99+ AQs+ AK spot for me to call off. He has too many pairs which we don't really have amazing equity against for me to call off here.

+1 for making it smaller preflop.

How do you determine when go smaller 3bet sizing and when bigger? In previous post you suggested at least 3,5x squeeze (I have to assume it is because we are OOP). Maybe you could elaborate a bit on the 3bet sizings in general?
Would appreciate very much.

Hi all,

Pre-ante: smaller, post-ante: larger.
Shallow stacksizes: smaller, deep stacks: larger. Here we have 43.8bb effective, so I'm looking at around 2.5-2.7x IP and 3-3.2x OOP.
More callers: bigger of course.
In position vs OOP: covered above, probably around 0.5BB more for OOP as a rule.
Fish: bigger, reg: smaller. Against a fish you can also have different sizes for your AA/KK vs your other hands (smaller for AA/KK).
