A5o vs aggressive big stack

Well problem with A5o is that it doesnt play that well even versus any2 range and when we collide with biggest stack our ICM tax is highest possible. So its not that great situation. A5o versus any2 has 58% equity. Now if both middle stacks are solid and unlikely doing spewy plays and chip lead has been very actively abusing then this is definitely closer spot than nash says as nash always takes only current situation into account. Also when villain shoves he is unlikely to have the most premium hands in his range as he would probably minraise those to induce BB.

When taking on future game my calling range with above assumptions would go closer to 20% than nash 13%. I think A5o could be quite close to breakeven call. Possibly still bit -EV. With 6.6bb we still have bit of space to maneuver, but not that much if chip lead is also abusing from CO.

I would def. fold this hand. A5o is just trash, KTs f.e. is a much better hand. And I would start calling first hands like K9s, Q9s, Q8s than hands like rag Ax. That is if we speak with FGS in mind. I also think you should go a bit looser possibly, but not with A5o. As I said, I prefer suited broadway and nice suited Qx and Kx first and only after that- rag Ax.

I understand about it being an A rag hand but why do you prefer suited Qx & Kx over Ax? Surely A5o plays better than Q8s against an ATC shove? - gonna check that now.....

A5o vs ATC is 57.7%
KTs vs ATC is 61.8%
