Preflop call vs 3b is fine here.

Usually it's best just to flat vs opponent cbet on the flop. X/r is literally only a protection bet, we are not going to action from any worse hands most of the time - it's unlikely to be worth it in the long run.

I would x/c flop then x/decide on the turn.

Villain reps a better overpair at the very least here. This guy looks pretty solid (26/22) and seems to be folding to steals too much which makes his range that actually gets to a flop stronger. I think hoping villain even has 88-99 in his range is a little optimistic, let alone expecting them to shove.

If you flat the flop bet then you keep villains range wider. Looking ahead I would consider calling a turn bet if <2/3 pot on non-A turns and fold unimproved otr. He might be bluffing but the chance of a villain taking this preflop line and 3barreling a bluff at nl2 is pretty slim.
