Hi!

Villain in 400 hands:

16/13 , 5.8% 3bet, 8% on BTN

cc BTN 14%

Fold to cb 20%

bet vs missed flop 67%

bet river 45%

wtsd 26 wwsf 35

thoughs? is cbetting better than xc that flop with that hand?

do u think calling river is too close? he is probably valuebetting AQ and some bluffs, probably checking behind KQ

Hi marcosmartinez

preflop: looks fine

Postflop: The question is, why ck/call the flop?

I noticed a trend here, or at least for the hands posted, that you like to check/call in spots where it doesn't really make sense to do so.

We can cbet for value and some protection here esp vs someone that doesn't like folding.

And as played do people bluff for half pots on these boards in your opinion? No. They bet for value or semibluffs. And Qx and even Jx can play like that so why not raise flop or turn?

IMO we dont have 2 streets for value and we dont need to protect since we have Kd

do u think that i can xr flop or turn for value? for me is a huge overplay but maybe im missing something

as played do u find a call otr?

thanks

Check call flop is good here, especially vs guy that bets so often Ip. We are never getting 3 bets in and going to be good when we bet ourselves and this is a great spot (positions, texture, blockers, redraw and opponents tendencies) to treat our hand as a bluff catcher.

Raising turn doesn't really achieve anything except fold his air, which there should be more of as our flop line keeps his range wider. We took flop line to induce and pot control so raising turn doesn't make much sense, we just manipulate his range to then very strong hand and our hand is a marginal sdv hand on this turn

Check call river though for 1/2 pot, we took this line to inuduce so he will be compelled to fire river too, he may even value bet worse.
