How wide would you defend preflop here even against 3x raise and oop, given that our opponent probably has a wide opening range and seems passive enough that he will not put much pressure on our second pairs/draws postflop?

given the 3x open and 30bb stacks I don't think you can defend super wide. Somewhere around 30% seems good factoring ICM.
