Hi all,
I have a hand I'm not sure about from my last session. Could someone tell me if they think my logic here is bad.
The BTN is a complete unknown who actually packed up and left 3 hands after this hand so I still have no clue what was doing, but my thoughts are as follows:
Everything is standard until the flop where even though I know when he min raises he probably has hands that I crush that are looking to see if they have the best hand, if i raise an extra 50c for example, then
(a) If he calls I am contracted to shoving all turns, and about 2/3 of the deck are tainted cards I won't feel happy about shoving.
(b) He could very well fold his hand if all he was trying to do was to ask the question with his random pair, and if he shoves I'm not in a good spot.
(c) When people at 2nl click the min-raise post flop they tend to just always have it for some reason. I actually think if you always folded to click minraises post flop at 2nl you wouldn't be doing that badly.
Turn is a blank, and I don't feel in the mood to lead and fold to another min raise so I check call, which given that he made it half pot could be a big mistake because people usually bet close to the pot at 2nl for value and half pot if they are asking the question which is pretty exploitative so maybe I should have shoved after he bet half pot.
Then I hero folded the river vs another half pot. The main reason for this is that I've been focusing lately at 2nl to fold in big pots. It's a big leak of mine that every time I'm unsure in a big pot I call and lose lots of money, so I thought this is my time to shine and make a hero fold for once. I actually tanked pretty hard before letting it go which I don't normally do.
