once this player donk bets this size i dont think he has any folds in his range.

its difficult to be in terrible shape. if it is a mistake to shove its not a terrible one, unless you are risk averse because of the payouts.

you hit a flush on the turn about 20%(?) of the time and you will be facing another bet or a bet/call line most of the time. i actually think it would be ok to fold and preserve you chips.

I agree with badgerer, i think once he bets its not that likely that he has any folds in his range, so if he has no folds you can treat his donk bet the same as it would be a shove, in that case you dont have enough equity vs his hand to call or in this instance shove, so giving up in my opinion is the best option.

But if you think he is donk betting some random Ace high or small pockets and than folding to your jam, than it can be an okey play i guess.

hi,

first of all you should not be playing the hand in the first place. the hand is to weak and your stack to small.

however, as played and without any further infos to the villian I would fold on the flop.
villians bet more than pot size showing that he had top pair and that we wont fold anymore.
if the donk was only 1/2 pot you could push all in with some fold equity.
but in this spot I would fold on the fop and wait for a hand to push all in preflop.

Don't post results.

Pre-flop we can profitably shove vs. any calling range. I would usually do this in this situation, unless we have reads that BB is a nit, then we can b/f. (OOPS misread as BvB, see corrected post below doh)

Donk is for about half pot. I have a hard time folding here, don't think we can assume 0 FE.

Wow, can you explain how this can be profitable shove vs any calling range, did you get the stack sizes right? I suggest check this spot in HRC or icmizer to see for yourself, your post suggest this is profitable shove if we dont change any of opponent ranges, but that is not the case, we are losing chips shoving here, to make it break even we need to cut their calling ranges somewhere between 20-30% from what nash suggests. We all know that in 1$ games they usually dont have clue about how wide they should call you here, so you might get away with this being a break even shove, but as you are not playing 1$ games i imagine you you are talking about doing these kind of moves in low mid stake games, where your opponents will have better clue how wide they should call you here, than you are just burning money, maybe i am missing something here. So why would you risk your 15bb stack on b/e shove when you can take way smaller variance spot and mr/f this hand if you get raised and play this hand post flop if you get called behind.

Oh my bad, must not have had my coffee, thought this was a BvB spot (facepalm)

seeing now that it is from CO (thank you!) I certainly like the open assuming players are tight or passive (not active decent players, unlikely in a $1) behind. For the record, with 16 bigs in the CO we'd usually be able to open shove K7s+ by Nash)

flat the donkbet for potcontrol, you dont have the nuts and you are not drawing to the nuts, you have a few outs here if hes got like KQ type of hands KJ KT AK... you are way behind here often, so just call ip try to keep the pot small and maybe get a free river or a bluff spot ott to be winning that hand. never raise flop
