We are ITM.

BB is sitting out and Villain is a very active and notorious minraiser and also notorious flop CBettor and i decided to try to exploit him postflop inPosition somehow :f_biggrin:

Villain (58hands):
VPIP-31
PFR-26
3BET - 6.5
FOLD v3BET - 75
MP RFI - 67(9)
MINRAISE - 48.0
Flop CB - 100
WTSD - 22

Poker Stars, $2 Buy-in (600/1,200 blinds, 150 ante) No Limit Hold'em Tournament, 9 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

SB: 52,060 (43.4 bb)
BB: 3,339 (2.8 bb) - SITOUT
UTG+1: 43,527 (36.3 bb)
UTG+2: 16,969 (14.1 bb)
MP1: 36,908 (30.8 bb)
MP2: 50,102 (41.8 bb)
MP3: 36,617 (30.5 bb)
Hero (CO): 35,674 (29.7 bb)
BTN: 12,250 (10.2 bb)

Preflop: Hero is CO with 6 A
4 folds, MP3 raises to 2,400, Hero calls 2,400, 3 folds

Flop: (7,950) 5 J 4 (2 players)

I thought that this is a good flop to go with my exploitation plan since he is CBetting 100% anyway

MP3 bets 3,600, Hero raises to 11,175, MP3 calls 7,575

Turn: (30,300) 3 (2 players)

MP3 bets 15,600

WTF is this about? Didnt have a fucking clue what he is up to and if i wouldnt hit an OESD + TP draw I would have given up
, Hero calls 15,600

River: (61,500) 4 (2 players)
MP3 bets 7,292 and is all-in, Hero folds

I was very tempted to call but thought that my A high kicker is no good :f_biggrin:

Results:

Spoiler

61,500 pot
Final Board: 5 J 4 3 4
MP3 mucked and won 61,500 (32,175 net)
Hero mucked 6 A and lost (-29,325 net)

hi,

the problem in the first place is that you do now have a decent hand and your position is also not that great.
I would just wait for a better hand.
besides you have the BU with only 10bb who would love to push in that spot.
if villian calls, do you want to play a huge pot with a marginal hand ?
if villian folds you are also in bad shape as your hand does not play well vs. BU pushs range.

and there is also the SB who can also raise the pot and you will have to fold.

it's nice that you have notes on the villian and know how he plays. now wait for a good hand and play a big pot.
generall playing a big pot with a marginal hand is not a good way to go.

anyway, the way the hand was played : you 3bet on the flop and it did not work out.
the turn bet of villian is not high and you do not get the right price.
give up the hand and wait for a better hand.

Hey!

I think 3b/decide is fine and flat is probably okay against him. I don't why you want to raise. You have sd-value and he is not folding any hit? do you plan to tripple barrel on good board runouts?
I call flop, i call turn and decide on the river!

Hi Tiltberger :)

I'm a bit confused here

By saying: "I think 3b/decide is fine and flat is probably okay against him" - did you mean FLOP 3bet and TURN call? (like i did) :)

SD value for me? but how? :) Pretty much any Ace high+ of his will beat me at the River if i won't improve right? :)

Was definitely planning to double barrel a lot of TURNs but his blank TURN donk bet out of the blue totally put me off my plan :)
