Flop: (4,842, 2 players) 7♣ Q♣ 6♥
Hero checks, CO bets 2,677, fold

CO wins 4,842

How would you play this hand preflop and why ? What do you think about small 4-bet, shove or just flat ? Which option you prefer and why ?

On the flop I gave up because of his big c-bet. Against ~40% pot size c-bet I was going to call one time.

Hi all,

For 40bb I would 4bet/call this preflop. I don't like trapping with AKo here because:

1. Our hand is good enough for 4bet/call.
2. Our hand is not strong enough equity wise against his range to allow him to see a flop.
3. Positional disadvantage can be negated by making the pot bigger here.

On the flop vs his betsize I like a fold. I used to defend here on the flop but it is very hard to show a profit without any backdoor flushdraws. I would defend A♣:J or A♥:J♥: here before I defend AKo
