m444cho is a wrecking ball: 38/40 over 14 hands
maul is an unknown relatively

Is it too early to go for broke here? We still have a decent stack with 60 people left

I’m pretty sure AKs is a Cev call against 2 people and is a top heavy paid-out structure.
So ICM is almost no factor in this phase of the tournament.
Also is this a pretty good spot to build up a nice stack for the later stage of the tournament.

Further is it smart to remove the results of the hand or do it in a spoiler.

Cheers,

Yeah, meant to remove the results of the hand but forgot.

Yeh, I snap jammed here but when reviewing today I did get to wondering whether we could have folded here or not. There is 60 players left. We have a decent stack, we are in no real hurry etc. Then again, if we win this we have a HUGE stack and the payout as you say is top heavy.

8 bb is not a decent stack I think, but that is mine opinion :f_wink:
I don’t think you can fold this 1 without decent reads/stats that both players are nits and that not the case here.

yeah, I think you are over-thinking this one (something I do a lot too, btw) - 8bb is def not a 'decent stack' and you are a way off the money yet - even giving the 'wrecking ball' opener a conservative 22% range and the 3br a super-tight 6%, you are a clear 1.85bb +cEv with AK here, not a spot you can justify passing up, and as you say, having a big stack @ the bbl/end-game stages is massive, as you can apply pressure/steal liberally etc.. increasing your chance of a top pay spot (where all the money is in these 180s)

Confirmed making a mountain out of a mohill. I misread my stack depth as well. Thought it was more than 8BB

Thanks guys!
