This 4bet was a really tough spot for me, as I only had a little more than 500 hands against this 22/16 TAG. He 4bets 33% of the time, when he has the chance, but I only witnessed 12 of those occasions. The only time I saw his hole card in such a situation he was holding AQs. That's the most interesting data.
In my opinion the 3bet from my side was a must, especially with the limper in the pot. Until now he folded 50% to 3bets, but again, low sample size. His open-raise range in this situation will be something like 55+, ATs+, KTs+, QTs+, JTs, AJo+, KJo+, which gives me 60% equity.
When I saw his 4bet I assumed a range of QQ+, AQs+, AKo. In this case I have an equity of less than 40% and I didn't expect any real fold equity against a 5bet. I decided to call and judge again on the river. If I have an over-pair or set, I get everything in there. If I miss and A,K or Q shows, I have to assume I am beaten and can fold. I also assume that he will call for the rest of his chips even if he misses the flop with AK or AQs as the odds are too good after my call.
