Poker Stars, $0.91 Buy-in (100/200 blinds, 25 ante) No Limit Hold'em Tournament, 45man, 10 players left, 6 Players at my table

My plan was to raise call any shove, but afterwards I realised when he raises instead of shoving it looks really really strong especially with his low 3bet stats and reraising over an open raise and caller.
I think I should have either open shoved or
r/c a shove and r/f to a suspicious 3bet like this

CO 28/11 3bet 0% over 19 hands
SB 54/12 3bet 3.8% over 81 hands

SB: 6,832 (34.2 bb)
BB: 16,351 (81.8 bb)
UTG: 506 (2.5 bb)
Hero (MP): 3,726 (18.6 bb)
CO: 10,083 (50.4 bb)
BTN: 5,312 (26.6 bb)

Preflop: Hero is MP with A K
UTG folds, Hero raises to 436, CO calls 436, BTN folds, SB raises to 1,000, BB folds, Hero raises to 3,701 and is all-in, CO folds, SB calls 2,701

Flop: (8,188) 3 9 K (2 players, 1 is all-in)
Turn: (8,188) J (2 players, 1 is all-in)
River: (8,188) T (2 players, 1 is all-in)

Results:

Spoiler

8,188 pot
Final Board: 3 9 K J T
SB showed A A and won 8,188 (4,462 net)
Hero showed A K and lost (-3,726 net)

he's 54/12 so we know he's not a great player. He could just have no idea for what amount he should squeeze. While shoving would be fine for SB (there's 1/5 of his stack in the pot), a simple raise seems fine to me. I would always call here, but I'd take a speculative note on the player and pay attention to similar spots. One hand is not conclusive.

I'd raise/call just like you did but I wouldn't regret it.

as for the open shove, 18bb is just too deep.

Thats it though, i didnt r/c, I raised/re-raised his 3bet and afterwards when I was thinking about it, at these stakes people only 3bet with monsters so I think that was a mistake.

It's not true that people only 3bet with monsters at low stakes. IMO with 18BB there is not much else you could have done. I think you played the hand perfectly.

That is true, I should maybe clarify what I have found when I've been playing at these stakes
Late in the tournament, people only 3bet with monsters, they may shove hands I'm beating here e.g. AQ but I don't think they would 3bet AQ.
and early on in tournaments I find people 3betting all kinds of weird hands :)

I did not see this was a 45 man. How many people get paid in these, like 7? If villain is conscious that he is only 18BB effective vs you, and he did small 3bet, it is true that his range is a lot tighter, even if he is a total fish. I am not sure how valuable is to cash in a 45 man, but you can probably find a fold pre, as long as you have not seen this guy doing the same thing before, trying to put pressure on the midstacks.
