JJ preflop vs nit

Vs a nit you want to call vs his 3bet as you suggest. You can play post IP and get much more information. Vs a standard nit I would say QQ+, AK is always profitable. JJ is more borderline, and could be profitable or not depending on how much of a nit he is. For 20bb eff JJ becomes a clear get it in, even vs a nit, except in very few situations.

There are cases when some players, specially nits, basically reveal their cards to you preflop. For example, you raise from UTG, and the nit, which has around 15-20, 3bets small instead instead of stacking off. Then JJ becomes a relatively easy fold, and sometimes even QQ, AK.

I would check his 3-bet stats by position and I'd make sure the stats come from hands played with around 30-40bbs.

With the infos you gave us, I'd fold both JJ and AKo

If his 3 bet is weighted towards QQ+ AK you should stack off only with KK+, same goes for 20bb or less (depends how less you want to go here).
Flatting and playing JJ IP is OK option but not best if you don't know his betting frequencies post flop. How do you know if he will 3 barrel his whole range including AK? Maybe he just 3 barrels QQ+ and checks behind all AK hands ? And you decide to bluff catch 3 streets on dry board and double him up easy game?
So unless you have reads on his post flop play, you can also consider folding JJ if you are not capable of folding them to 3 barrels on dry run out post flop!

against guy you described i never stack off with less than KK+, and i definitely not folding because of positional advantage. 20bb eff against this type of player i see myself been folding tbh.
