[SH] TPTK dry board vs high fold to cbet

My question here is...

I have TPTK, the board is really dry and my hand is not that vulnerable.

Given the fact that villain is folding 60% vs cbets, should I check Flop to try to induce some bluffs of his part?

BTN: $31.76 - VPIP: 19, PFR: 14, 3B: 6, AF: 2.0, Hands: 1760
SB: $43.20 - VPIP: 26, PFR: 19, 3B: 8, AF: 1.6, Hands: 1939
BB: $66.16 - VPIP: 40, PFR: 36, 3B: 33, AF: 2.5, Hands: 47
Hero (UTG): $25.00 - VPIP: 24, PFR: 19, 3B: 7, AF: 2.3, Hands: 38105
MP: $25.00 - VPIP: 0, PFR: 0, 3B: 0, AF: 0.0, Hands: 5
CO: $55.51 - VPIP: 21, PFR: 13, 3B: 2, AF: 4.4, Hands: 5670

Pre Flop: ($0.35) Hero is UTG with A :spade: T :spade:
Hero raises to $0.75, 3 folds, SB calls $0.65, 1 fold

Flop: ($1.75) T :diamond: 3  8 :spade: (2 players)
SB checks, Hero checks

Turn: ($1.75) 2 :spade: (2 players)
SB bets $1.26, Hero calls $1.26

River: ($4.27) 7 :spade: (2 players)
SB bets $2.73, Hero raises to $7.47, SB folds

Depends how agro he bets vs missed cbet. If he is agro, then check is the best. If he is passive, you let him freeroll equity and there are 12 bad overcards. If he is passive, I would bet 33% pot size to induce lighter floats and force him to defend more.

From the stats villain seems to be on the passive side, so betting is better.

I don't like slowplaying vulnerable hand vs. passive opponent.

thats clear overplay vs someone who folds 60% flop considering positions. Likely also overplay vs standard reg, considering that standard reg will flat JJ, QQ vs UTG

There are plenty of hands to seek value from on flop - JT, QT, even QJ may call one street, 99, T9s. If he calls I would likely check back the turn.

I am talking about the hand in question. If I don't cbet with top pair on that flop why am I still raiseing preflop this hand?! I 100% cbet that flop and 100% cbet that turn too. When I hit the flush I bet too. I see nothing wrong playing the hand bet/bet/bet... I have nutflush, WTF?!

your decisions should be opponent based as well, your hand should not be the only thing that factor your conclusions.

As I said, I don't understand why the hell should I not cbet that flop?! WHY?! ..because he folds 60% to flop cbets? Is this a joke? ... lets check, let him see free cards, let him catch a Q, J or K or who knows what else...lets not protect our hand because he folds to cbets and we anyway don't get anything...

And on that turn...that's one of the best turns to double barrel here...
Even if the turn was not a spade but a low card, I would have barreld here again and bet/fold on a blank river.

whoa

2 streets hand, i guess betting flop is good just because checking kinda sucks, maybe bet something ridiculous like 1/3 or something. if we bet flop and get called, checking behind turn or betting small looks kinda cool

Yea I agree with you, I think that against such an opponent we will never get 3 streets of value. However I still think that betting small as you said is a bit better than doing what I did.

Light up man, it was just a joke. Didnt mean to be rude, just thought you were a bit aggressive...

Sad to hear that, I actually appreciate your comments :)

Hmm, what would be the difference between checking back turn and checking back flop?

the main issue with a flop check back is letting him freeroll equity with pps and overs. if you could be 100% sure that the turn would not improve him, checking back would be best

ok I thought you meant for the flop, you would play bet bet bet. Thats what hero asked, how should he play on flop. Then you usually give a gameplan, for the whole hand. Also if you raise hand preflop, it doesnt mean that it is max EV to cbet it in the case you hit top pair.

Well, I think general play would be to cbet for value otf. But ofc it is villain dependent. You mentioned his high flop fold %. But what are the chances he will bet his weaker tens or even smaller pairs ? = is he aggro ? or is he passive ? Besides .. whats the problem ? You want to be greedy and win more money with your tptk ? I think in general taking down small pot here (when he folds) is fine. If you check he hits his sets ott, draws having solid equity against your hand, two pair sometimes or higher pair. I think against sort of normal player and/or passive player bet is ok here. Question is how much. We would love him to call us with middle pairs and/or worse tens. So maybe smaller bet for thin value is ok ? Like half the pot ?
