Interesting spot tbh

He's not 3-betting that much at all from blinds versus UTG, so when he does so you have to realize you are not in a good shape. Not even sure, if this guy does this with AK actually. But if he does, then we can call pre.

As played, I think flop call is mandatory, because the stats aren't over too big sample. If he would be cbetting 50 % in 3-bet pots over 2000 hands sample, I think I could even fold on the flop right away. I think you could even use some normal cbet stats here to see how often he cbets. If it's on the lower side on normal pots, I think I would fold this snap. If he cbets a lot, definitely calling at least flop.

Anyway, as played he cbets over 2/3 of a pot on 3-bet pot for 2 streets, so I can't see him bluffing. Folding turn is the best option here.

I want to make a little sidenote: villain seems like an aggro guy. Does WWSF 51 and W$SD 42 mean that he is winning most of his hands with pure aggression postflop?

And as I was watching the hand the first thought was: will he do this with AK? :)

Probably only with AhKh. For me the turn is fold here. TBH I found myself often in such situations. Probably, having in mind his aggression we should expect 3 barrel sand the question is what to do on the flop?

Is he that aggressive after all? And he has been cbetting 50 % of the time on 3-bet pots, so it indicates that he's not always just barreling all the way.

How about this: WWSF 51 and W$SD 42

He might just call with too weak hands that he shouldn't call (like calling Ax tp's). He might also bet too small with bluffs. Or something like that, so I wouldn't make too much assumptions :f_eek:

W$SD 25 means he is not calling too much.

I think you played it fine. Flop call is standard. On the turn, we may even discuont some outs for a straightdraw, so our equity decreases in that spot and, given the positions, I think he usually has QQ+. You have pot odds of 30% and against this range: QQ+,AhKh,AcKc, which I think is most probable here, you have equity of 24%. If you hit your set or a straight, you probably won't get any value on the river with this board, so you don't even have an implied odds to call. Clear fold to me.

Yes, but it means that if he cbets the flop, he doesn't stop with that.

Agree with Vasko. These stats mean that once he starts cbetting, he will continue on 3 streets. He wins most hands without seeing showdown. As he reaches the river he does not win much at SD.

So, which one is better vs. this guy - raising him otf? Or 4bet preflop? Or call him down 3 streets?

I think calling down is better. He is not winning that much on SD...

Turn: ($9) 9 (2 players)
SB bets $6.80, Hero folds

Results:

Spoiler

$9 pot ($0.45 rake)
Final Board: 8 T 5 9
SB mucked and won $8.55 ($4.15 net)
Hero mucked J J and lost (-$4.40 net)

Imo I don't think we can profitably 4bet/call PF given the positions . If I raise on the flop it would be as a bluff as I don't think he will continue with worse and JJ is to good to bluff in this spot imo. As Alleen86 mentioned, I don't think I have the required equity to continue or fold equity to bluff the turn.

Should be a fold ott
Check your range that you get to the turn with - JJ should be fairly low in that range
