Nothing worse than a huge loss after a good start.
I even checked my sessions, only a few costly mistakes, everything else is a pure downswing :ayfkm:

SLEEP TIME:

  • March 26th - 01:10

Sessions:

  • NL50 [530 hands] +101.6$
  • NL25 [540 hands] +44.0$
  • NL25 [550 hands] -28.7$ (EV adjusted: +1.7$)
  • NL50 [550 hands] -75.7$ (session mistakes: should have folded the river)
  • NL50 [540 hands] -131.1$
  • NL50 [570 hands] -71.7$
  • NL50 [540 hands] -52.8$

Bluff of a day:

  • 6♦:5♦: - had to try with so much in the pot already.

  • NL50 [540 hands] +40.2$

Positive hand of a day: The power of position 8♦:6♦:

Bluff of a day:

  • K♣:3♣: - not much to comment, perfect card to continue a bluff.

for me, the discipline required is stopping when losing. i am going to set a loss point where i stop playing and have to fight not to get tempted to go back and play that day. with winning, it has been easy to stop at a certain goal, but that "i have to get it back" feeling is very hard to overcome!

Had one nice day without coolers, and back to rollercoaster again :ayfkm:

mirth, losing is not the problem - you'll have some ugly sessions, where you can't simply do anything. Sometimes it's motivating, to go back and play more that day. As long as you feel you are playing good poker. But when you start feeling frustrated, it's the point when you should stop playing.

SLEEP TIME:

  • March 29th - 01:10

Sessions:

Positive hand of a day: Who needs pot control, right? A♦:A♠:

Bluff of a day:

  • 6♠:6♦: - his donk bet seems polarizing, he either has the nuts (I like to believe he would check the nuts on a dry board), or something weak, turn card is perfect to go all-in.

yeah true, i can usually tell when i am "hot and bothered" and when i could play "normally" again.

Monday's usually not the best day for poker, so I kept it simple.

Let's update the results of the whole month.
Wasn't as successful, as I wanted, but at least it's a profit, thanks to the last session :f_thumbsup:
I should play more often after midnight, fishes just handing out money :|

SLEEP TIME:

  • March 31st - 02:30 (justified)

Sessions:

Positive hands of a day: It's just rarely I get paid off like this A♠:A♥: ..and this beauty 9♣:7♣:

MARCH SUMMARY

NL25:

  • 14286 hands: +107.83$ (EV adjusted: +245.34$), winrate: +3.02 (VPIP: 25.5, PFR: 20.6, 3bet: 6.8)

Compared to last month's NL25 results, it's a big step up. Probably mainly cause of less spewy moves and tighter range.

NL50:

  • 38150 hands: +398.09$ (EV adjusted: +292.12$), winrate: +2.09 (VPIP: 25.2, PFR: 20.2, 3bet: 7.5)

Very disappointed with my red line, although it felt like this month NL50 was extremely fishy and it's hard to keep redline up, when noone gives a damn about my aggression :f_rolleyes:

BONUS:

  • $600 VIP Reward Bonus [40000 FPP] +600$

OVERALL: +1105.9$ :f_drink:

So I'm pretty sure my main goal for the next month - improving the red line in NL50.

  • NL50 [540 hands] +99.1$
  • NL50 [560 hands] +149.7$
  • NL50 [540 hands] -45.0$
  • NL50 [560 hands] -97.6$ (messed up the red line, was calling way too many 3bets)
  • NL50 [550 hands] +241.6$

Positive hand of a day: That good feeling of a random donation A♥:A♦:

Bluff of a day:

  • 7♠:5♠: - fine, if nobody wants the pot, I'll take it :profit:

I have no idea how did I end up in profit yesterday, was a really ugly rollercoaster, with a lot of coolers and some tilt :ayfkm:
And days like these remind me why I do this challenge and why I need a good sleep. Was playing quite tired yesterday, far from my best poker, knowing when I'm making a mistake and still doing it.
Like someone said "when you don't feel like playing your A game, don't play at all".

SLEEP TIME:

  • April 3rd - 03:50
    * Punishment for discipline error: today's sleep time 0AM.

Sessions:

  • NL25 [560 hands] -92.3$ (tilted off ~50$)
  • NL25 [580 hands] -26.7$
  • NL50 [540 hands] -15.5$
  • NL50 [570 hands] +3.8$
  • NL50 [580 hands] -79.9$
  • NL50 [570 hands] +171.3$
  • NL50 [520 hands] -191.6$
  • NL50 [550 hands] +136.0$
  • NL50 [550 hands] +113.5$

Bluff of a day:

  • 4♠:4♦: - his turn bet made no sense, had to be afraid of a :Kx:.

I'm so tired of poker. Day after day just grinding through shitloads of frustrating sessions. One day without any nonsense and then five days of crap. And every week is the same.
It feels like with more experience I can manage tilt better and get used to frustrating sessions, but Pokerstars always finds a creative way to tilt me :rage:

SLEEP TIME:

  • April 4th - 04:00
    * Punishment for repeating discipline error: next two days sleep time 0AM.

Sessions:

Positive hand of a day: This just perfectly illustrates the whole day A♣:T♠:

Bluff of a day:

  • A♦:2♦: - seemed like a good option against a nitty player.

Was trying my best yesterday, did only a few mistakes, still end up in minus. $1076 loss in two days - must be a new record :ayfkm:
The worst part about such downswings, that I'm starting to doubt myself, to doubt poker in general, and that negative attitude leads to -EV decisions.

SLEEP TIME:

  • April 5th - 05:00
    * Punishment for repeating discipline errors: next two days sleep time 0AM and a day without poker.

Sessions:

  • NL50 [570 hands] -104.4$
  • NL50 [2040 hands] -216.4$ (session mistakes: turn had to be a fold)
  • NL50 [550 hands] -48.4$
  • NL50 [540 hands] -30.9$
  • NL50 [550 hands] +11.8$
  • NL50 [600 hands] +33.3$

I'll take a break today. I need to clear my head and watch some coaching videos.

At least you are runing above EV. If your winrate is below 2bb/100 such swings are common thing, only 20BI.

Bluff of a day:

  • Q♣:2♣: - a bit too loose 3bet, but usually cards doesn't matter versus a very nitty regular.
