If there's one thing that years in poker have tought me - my worst enemy is myself ![]()
And I'm talking about the lack of discipline. Mostly awful sleep schedule, which leads to bad decision making, tilt and prolonged frustating sessions.
It's insane, how fast a few undisciplined sessions can destroy a whole week's earnings.
So as a new year approaches, it's a good time to set some daily goals:
- Sleep time no later than 1AM.
- Poker preferably after lunch (from experience - early sessions are mostly frustrating).
- Short sessions with breaks in between (no more than 500 hands a session).
- Must play at least 3-4 hours a day.
- Spice up a day with some Spin & Go and 6-max tournaments.
* Punishment for discipline errors: next day's sleep time 0AM.
Have never done any challenge before, so hopefully this will add much needed discipline to my game ![]()
* I'll try to update this thread at the end of each day (after Christmas), with detailed results and mistakes.
