SBvsBB not sure about range here

I wouldn't say it's that trivial. Preflop we can mix bluff 3bets and calls. Flop and turn are good, I think. River is tricky. From his stats I would say that he is not doing that with TP or busted draws, so I think we have to fold.

It would make life easier if you mentioned his RFI on SB and barreling tendencies.

I'm not sure about the population tendencies @ NL5. I probably assume reg players rarely 3 barrel bluff w an overbet too on R?
If that is the case, then folding is best tbh

Even after the huge overbet on the river? IMO 3bet/folding preflop is best. What`s your plan on any non-ace no club draw flop when he c-bets?

I think you are right, my hand is not that good to call. I just felt i was outplayed somehow, but maybe mine was just a bad play preflop.

I cannot make up my mind about preflop. Villain is opening 3.5x which is a bit big. But I guess you can call or 3 bet.
Villain is betting turn close to pot and is overbetting the river and that is a sign of a strong holding. So fold is ok.

Against 3x, this would be standard call preflop, but we might sometimes mix it with 3bet bluffing. Against bigger raise, I think we could 3bet bluff more, but calling is still fine.

If it is a standard raise, we are calling. vs a bigger raise we may defend with a tighter range, so the borderline calling hands are now 3 bet -bluffs.

Fold pre for me unless villain makes a habit of this sizing. Regs rarely do this with air, three barrels is nearly always for value, just fold and make a note of the play.

As played, what about raise turn shove river? Just an idea.

Do you really judge his hand from 3.5x sizing when steling from SB? I personally steal from sb with a 4x size, he does that to deny BB`s odds of calling light. Flat calling from the blinds is pretty bad, especially with dominated hands without having the initiative.

flat preflop 100% of the time the hand is more than strong enough, you should be able to realize close to 100% equity IP. you need 35.3%, you have more than that even vs a 7% opening range

I like how you played it postflop and the river is a really good fold AJ won't do this he has AA KK 99 AK A9 and only bluffs that this makes sense with is JThhdd QThhdd QJhhdd, the rest of his fds have a pair and I seriously doubt nitty looking people at this stake will turn those into a bluff by over betting (even though in a vacuum, that'd actually be a potentially good play to just turn loads of weaker made hands into a bluff and overbet along with A9 and better)

In conclusion: At microstakes AND/OR against a nitty player fold the river and be very happy about it. Against aggressive people (raise 50%+ BvB, capable of barreling+turning made hands into a bluff) you'd probably want to call because you have just A9 A8 99 and your range is pretty capped otherwise and it has loads of weak Ax/pair+draw hands
