Hello guys,
I have been a member of pokerstrategy for quite some time now, although I visit the website everyday, I haven't been active in the forums. Time for some change and to work on my game more seriously.
First of all a quick presentation, I have been playing poker since 2007, i started to play 5/10 in my local casino in 2008 and more seriously from 2009. The games where great and the 10/20 even better. Nowadays the games are a lot tougher and the 10/20 has dried up. I still play but the rake is high ~5%, and 20 hands/hour is starting to get frustrating...
Online I am winning up to zoom100 on stars and on fulltilt I'm winning at lots of different stakes including NL1000 6max and fullring with good table selection and only playing with known fishes... (also loosing 10k @ NL5K, >discipline problem or gambling addiction whatever)
2015 this guy still doesnt have a tracker ? ![]()
I have recently installed PT4 and I am going to start my new resolutions by working on my game thanks to this software. I feel there's a whole new way of learning possibilities now.
Might be asking for some tips if you bear with me ![]()
Anyway I have 5 months before I start university and my goal pokerwise is to make enough money to put me through my 3 years of studying without eating into my bankroll...
My limits
Pokerstars:
My plan is to grind zoom100 on stars and move up when i feel im ready to beat zoom200 on stars.
Fulltilt Poker:
Rush100 and 200
I'll be taking more shots on FTP because I feel that the games are a lot softer
I'll be playing MTTs also but i will not be discussing them (unless I ship one) because of the low volume and the fact that I'm looking into to working my NL CG game.
Bankroll Management
Bankroll management has been my biggest problem when playing online...
I have lacked discipline for a very long time but I am determined to stick to the limits which allow me to earn money in a secure way ![]()
My goal $$$
Honestly I think I need 20K/year to cover my expenses, so that would mean 60K profit in 5months, but unless PT4 turns me into a massive crusher I am aware that it is not realistic.
I would like to aim for 30K to start with and any extra will be the icing on the cake, I'm also looking forward to improve my game and see where it will take me.
Other
Sport: I think doing sport regularly is key into staying motivated for poker, studying and living a healthy life.
Swimming 4 times/week
Running 1/week
Football with friends
When I get up I don't allways feel like grinding but after a swimming session I am always in the mood to play because I feel relaxed and focused so that's going to be part of this challenge.
Anyway I'll be posting my weekly results from PS and FTP, and some interesting hands now and then...
If I have forgotten any important details please let me know this is my first blog and I hope I can make this interesting and that it will help me and others find the motivation to beat this sick game ![]()
See you
Ben
