Hi double2,
I saw many of your videos and so I saw the interview too. I heard that you are pretty much the same, like me in terms of how much time you have for poker. I just don't understand, how you got to this high limit or how you can keep up with everything with such a little amount of time to spare. So basically I have a daytime job, monday to friday usually around 8 hrs a day. I started playing poker 2 years ago now, and I just can't make it on nl10. Winning then loosing. I feel like I just cannot put enough time into poker, and this is why I can't step up on higher limit. I don't know if I will ever be able with 30 50000 hands a month. My problem that I burn out too fast, it feels too much, I mean work and poker, not to mention the personal life. I don't really get ahead anyhow I try. I don't know if you had any suggestion or idea for me, you probably went trough the same, if you made it so far with poker as you had a regular job too.
Sorry for the late answer.
I don't think I can help you much.
I believe your problem is very similar to any other nl10-nl25 regular, but you have that extra handicap which is to have less time to improve your game. Being a winning regular at, say, Zoom 100nl is already a tough task (and not achievable for everybody) but for you it will be extra hard.
I think the key is for you to know how to spend your poker time efficientely.
Some pointers that I think they are uselful for everybody but for your case in particular:
1- work extra hard in your Mental Game, you have to have a top notch mind set, otherwise it will be impossible. People with free time can be agonizing and procrastinating during down swings. You can't.
2- Get private coaching. I don't regret a penny for the money I've put in private coaching.
3- Be selective in your study material. You can't watch every NL video that comes up on Poker Schools. You have to figure out who are the best teachers and focus on only a few.
Good luck
