How valuable do you think GTORB is for a 200nl player working on his game and intending to climb up? In your opinion, is the software intuitive or do you spend a lot of time doing boring stuff and wasting a lot of time (like CREV...).

I will try to grind some online. I was thinking about trying for SNE again this year but I'm really not sure if I can make it. I am doing pretty well so far, not really timing out when I 6-table but it's going to be a painful grind if I have to play 1400 hours this year especially when I have such a late start.
Have been analyzing GTORB regularly, now I'm not really focusing on Flop spots anymore, but more with early position battles.

If there's one skill you should learn, it's proper game selection and bum hunting. You can work on your GTO ranges all day, but if all your opponents are super tough regs as well, your win-rate can only be that much.
Took me ages to finally realize this, I'm finally having a great May playing a good mix of online and live. I still do play on Stars sometimes, but just not as much as I used to.
yea you cannot fold out an oldman who minraises the flop... there is just no amount you can bet to get them out.. from my limited experience I think playing ABC poker against them and making big bets for value and betting in some thin spots should be optimal..
i think vegas will be really good for cash games too tho, I have never been during the wsop but I tend to stick to cash too so that will be my main focus. Since I know you play a lot of zoom I suppose you are subscribed to run it once since they have a lot of material on those games?
i used to sub 1 month once every few months, but the quality of videos have been dropping a lot recently and I'm not really interested in watching the other Zoom pros play since most of them are not the top players.
May was my best month career wise, made (printed ♦) a lot of money. I'm staying in Macau for another 10 days and then I'll probably move out. Hopefully I can find a nicer apartment which is much nearer to the Wynn.
My friend is going to Vegas but I think I'll give it a miss, will spend some time back in Singapore while planning for my next move. I initially wanted to give up on coaching (playing makes me way more than coaching) but after hearing stuff about how much demand there is in China for coaching and how many videos one of my other friends managed to sell, I think I'll probably give it a shot in the Chinese market, brush up on my Mandarin skills and produce some free videos for now. I might even move there for a few months to see how it goes, but there's the issue of getting a long-term visa.
did a marathon video watching session today. My friend kept asking me to re-sub to RIO so I did. Ended up watching 4 of Sauce's videos, which never fail to inspire me to work hard. I don't think that I can really learn all that much from videos these days but sauce is the exception. I took about 3-4 hours to fully absorb all the information even though I was watching at 1.25-1.5X the speed. There are so many small details to take note of, which the majority of players will probably miss out on. It's also important to write these things out to ensure that some of these pointers and tips stick in your memory.
It happens a lot with video producers, that they don't really want to give away their entire range in the video because it might reveal too much about how they play, but they tend to drop nuggets of wisdom all over. When that's the case, it's your job as a poker student to try to interpret the information shared, fill in the gaps, and make the necessary changes to your game.
Some trends I noticed between the difference between my play-style and his:
1. He calls WAY wider in the BB compared to me
Any two suited cards 7 and above is a call vs a 2.5BB 18%+ open
2. Calls really wide in BB in 3way situations as well
3. Much tighter in MP and CO - I'm over-valuing the power of position in CO, and not thinking enough about getting squeezed. Being in MP and CO means that you play OOP against 3-4 other players Preflop. I'm not quite sure whether he has a calling range in MP vs UTG or not, I'm getting the sense that he's playing it the same way that most people are playing SB vs other positions these days.
Mucks stuff like AJo and 22-66 vs an EP raise from CO.
4. Extremely careful attention to bet sizing even on the Flop
These days I just stick to the default 1/2 pot bet in Single raised pots on almost any board texture. You'll notice that he is very obsessed with thinking about how ranges interact, how you can apply more pressure.
5. I have not spent any time thinking about multiway preflop ranges. I have to work on that, usually squeezing the wrong types of hands (like ATo).
This leads me to think that I should probably spend at least 5-10 hours studying in the next week or so. Have not been playing Stars too much recently and I am going on a mini-downswing
Huge sauce fan here. I have seen all of the sauce videos, some more than once :f_biggrin:. If you watch all of his videos, you can see he is always in the lab making tweaks to his game. I would say be careful paying too much attention to his game pre-flop in terms of defending, he even mentioned himself that he was splashy sometimes.
3) I think for a while he was employing sort of a linear 3bet/fold approach both from MP and CO, what I noticed was that he was favoring more high cards with blocker potential, logic being to "buy position" and that there was a ton of value in taking it down pre. He was even doing it from the BU but then he started adding the flat back in.
4) That's something I have tried adding to my game as well. being able to have different sizings and different lines based on the board but like you said it really comes down to understanding how the ranges interact with the board.
5) I struggle with this as well 
One thing I will add to point 5 is that I believe the blocker still plays a huge role so imo Axs should be a mixed strat along with some scs/suited gappers for board coverage.

it's been a while. I rarely surf Pokerstrategy.com nowadays especially since the Hand Evaluation forums are gone now. Perhaps i read the news occasionally and read some comics (and the comments flaming the comic artists)

1. Still winning a significant amount at online poker. My decision to quit Stars (i guess i was kind of forced into doing so) proved to be one of the best decisions of my life.
2. Started playing OFC Pineapple. It's a really fun game. I'm learning the basics, watching some Jen Shahade videos on RIO, spend some time doing manual EV calculations. One of the things I'm struggling with is knowing when to take the gamble for fantasy land. I used to play extra conservatively but after running the sims and thinking about the huge payouts for Fantasy Land (+10 points, and 7-9 points for QQ-AA in the front row), I realized that I wouldn't actually need to get there much more than 25-30% of the time to make the gamble +EV.
3. Going to BKK and JP for 2 short holidays
4. Going to China in Sept to live there for a bit. My Chinese friend told me about the city of ChangSha, which is apparently known as "mini-Macau". I'll check out the live games there. I'll also continue grinding online there
5. Gonna focus more on coaching for the chinese market. It's good to have something to do back in Singapore when I can't play poker. China has a serious lack of top tier players so I think there's going to be room for my poker coaching business to expand. I'll probably do some streaming on DouYu as well.

i dont remember my screennames, I hardly played at pw365 anyway.
Now I started playing on Bodog, it's pretty soft but only players from china and usa can play. I'll be in China for the next two months so I'll grind that and see how far I can go.
i pretty much only watch sauce these days, not really interested in watching nl500 guys who are at most slightly better than me
i watch jen shahade for pineapple, and maybe tommy angelo for fun. I don't really watch videos from any other site, except perhaps those from Internet.
Wrote a short beginner's guide for OFC Pineapple. I have been playing this game quite a bit in the past few months, it's pretty fun and much easier to solve as compared to Hold'em, though memorizing all the odds charts is slightly more difficult.
It's been a while, decided to record a couple of episodes of live play at 2k Bodog. Recorded 3 so far, new episode is scheduled once a month. I think I'm gonna go to BKK for a few days before I return to singapore at the end of the year, so I might record some lower stakes action at Stars.
