as i understand this,, poker stars want to stop use from software that using REAL time advice such as now bet 60% of pot since that is the best line against this player,,, personaly i think its good if they bann use of this kind of softwares since i want to play against the player not the software..

If they want to do so, then I agree. HUDs do not offer any of such details.

Stars software has a way to detect what other software is running on your pc. E.g. try running crev while your stars lobby is open and you'll get banned.

Thats all well and good untill someone decides to open crev on the 2nd computer.

They could just cut down timebank time and overall time, this would make impossible to use crev or equilab live ♦

Itd be great as long as they could enforce it, but they cannot.
Got 2 computers? Smartphone or an iPad? Then its not a problem for you to run it separately

as i understand this changes will take place from 28 september, havent seen any offical statement from stars regarding this or exactly which softwares that will be effected , but will try figure out and dig little bit to get more info, meanwhile you can take a look and give your thoughts about it..

Generally in favour of any changes that have the overall effect of leveling the playing field between pros and recreational players. Specifically anything which, if I were a recreational player, would make me think: "Hey! that's just not fair! I don't have this [chart/program/HUD/registration software] available to me, and this professional player is using all this stuff to take more of my money than he otherwise would be able to."

I agree that levelling the playing field between pro's and recs is good, but the danger is widening the gap between the cheats and the honest players if it isn't properly enforced....

I don't mind as long as pstower works. ♦

How about going back to the way things started.
No 3td party software-period.
Make your own notes.
Probably not doable but it would be the best for the game overall

Pokerstars' Sit & Go and Tournament Manager Baard Dahl has released an official statement on 2+2 clarifying what tools are prohibited. In particular, SpinWiz is mentioned explicitly as banned.

I think it will (while Stars' client is open) because it's much more complex than a 'basic hand chart'.

i wish stars could make a clear statement which changes is applied ,, right now is alot of guessing

I have got an update on HM2 this morning which is limiting some functionality on Pokerstars and Full Tilt.

From what I can gather, one of the changes is that Notecaddy badges have been disabled .... would have been nice to have had a little notice - I've spent the last week trying to learn to build note definitions for badges, which I believe have now been removed (on stars and Full Tilt). Also autorate has been disabled - it seems that no images at all are allowed in the HUD (and only 3 colours instead of 5)

PokerStars said that "advanced starting hands tables" will not be allowed. Does it include the Pokerstrategy starting hands table?
The software can detect if you are with a PDF file opened with an advanced table?

I believe that would be classed as a static hand chart. PokerStars definition of advanced hand charts is more to do with charts that change depending on action.
