Hi,

would you please reply to these two questions?

a) Hero has two hands, sitting on the SB in the bubble.

1) http://hands.holdemresources.net/?id=4h015xzzvv0o

2) http://hands.holdemresources.net/?id=skd8enx3vmin

In the first Hero should call 100%, in the second only 17.9%. I am not sure in reasoning why?

1) BU pushes 17.5%. When Hero calls, BB is calling 7.5%. Hero should call 100%, when he does not call, BU most of the time will get the pot.

2) BU minraises 12.2%, Hero calls 17.9% and BB is calling 5.5%. The numbers for BU and BB are very close, but Hero should be much more tighter. When he calls, BB will not be very loose in 3-betting. When Hero does not call, BB is often pushing and wins the pot.

Is this the reason, why Hero should call only 17.9%? If it is, it is still not clear for me why, because it seems to me that in both examples it is only a movement of the blinds to one or the other big stack.

b) Regarding using ICM or FGS in HM2 it seems to me that in HT 6max on Pokerstars is better to use ICM calculations where one of the stacks on bubble is smaller than 300 chips, FGS when it is bigger and something between when it is close to 300 chips. Do you agree?

I would stack off with any 2 in both situations. The only reason you should stack off tighter I think of that you will end most likely multi way in situation 2.

Most likely is FGS better with shorter stacks I think than with bigger stacks. So I think the other way around, but I wouldn't end to often with only 1,5bb in the SB I think.

Thank you!

I know now when FGS calculations are relevant, that is for short stacks. Therefore the calculations with FGS in the hand

http://hands.holdemresources.net/?id=193m51k9i8hvg

should be more precise. If you would call 100%, does it mean that FGS do not take all relevant parameters into account?

Maybe I am missing something important but in this thread is using of ICM for two short stack better and I do not know why.

Would you please explain this to me there?

Tricky one. As short stack with less than 2bb you need to gamble a lot and I would most likely call in BB allready any 2 if the big stacks didn't clash to each other. I think it's difficult to count if you're so short what will happend in the next hand, because after this hand you have less than a BB left if you're folding and than you don't have any fold equity at all .
