TT in BB v EP Open - thin value on river?

Another Zoom hand with unknown adversary.

I called the flop cbet thinking he could be c-betting wide, and not that many hands hit except AK, KQ, possibly KJs (assuming standard EP open-raise). Then again, it's only a 2bb open.

I thought of betting 1/3 pot on river, but QQ and JJ beat me, so does 99 now.. only 77 or 88 I'd beat hoping for thin value.

Given this info, a check is fine here?

Hero checks again is the best play on the river . As you said you cant get value from nothing except A high which will probably fold so yea, check is the best play .

I am 3beting such strong hand vs minraise preflop.

On river - I think bet could be good, small one, 1/3 or less, at least A high can call, some weak pairs like 99,88, 77, maybe 55-33.

He really does not look like having much. Max JJ-QQ, 99

Definitely raise that kinda hands against 2bb opening. You mentioned JJ QQ, I doubt he could've had those, just target his weak hands. Since he checks twice I assume he gives up the pot, then I'd bet thinly on the river.

I like the idea of making a thin bet.

Good stuff guys.

Yeah, i considered a 3-bet but so far I've been following the Beginner strategy - started to add a few small adjustments to the basic strategy now that I've decided to play regular tables only. Zoom often feels like playing blindfolded with both hands tied.

Thin value bet OTR is ok. I think villain still has some weaker pocket pairs in his range and he could call sometimes with A high.
