UTG's play looks fishy. Maybe he limp calls pocket pairs and hit a set? I still think folding to 1/2 pot bet vs fish with overpair is a kind of overfold. I think you can just call down if he bets small OTR too.

What ranges do you give them for flop and turn?

I think it would be a lot more beneficial for you to post your thought process with the hands. The real benefit of hand evaluations and discussing poker in general is to find mistakes in the way you think because fixing those will be helpful in numerous situations. The individual hands and spots aren't important at all.

I am not a fan of folding vs the fish. He may fo this with Tx, smaller P or better.
Call down and make a note.

Call the flop is fine. raising is an overplay and he probably will shut down on the turn if you have him beat.
calling the turn is imperative, you are ahead most of the time here.

main problem is that btn got involved in a hand, i didnt raised cause i wanted utg to stay in and value bet his tp, op, and such. When he limps and than he leads i guess i can assign him range like that..so i am stuck in a middle in a mw that is the main problem.

And, the fact that it IS a mwp gives more strengh to utg's hand. U cold be ahead, but already way behind.

I don't mind folding. As othere mentioned: the pot is multi-way which means that UTG's range should be stronger and the BTN is also in the pot and will most likelly call this turn when we call so we will have even tougher time on the river.

normally, in a 3bet early position when hitting a monster will wait for the preflop raiser to cbet especially on a flop this dry. so I definitely do not put him on a set by default until proven otherwise. he has probably TP , maybe another pair or maybe even 88-99. That's my guess and it is heavily weighted on TP.

BTN seems to be a fish as well. So I play it passively and try to see a showdown as cheap as possible.

One interesting point here. Given the stats of both UTG and BU... I think u can iso raise bigger, like 6-8bbs.
The UTG ll pay a bit more, and ll be a bit less likely that BU ll call that light (if he does, he is paying enough for us to do so), preventing, in parts, this mwp situation ♠_thumbsup:
