Half an hour later there is a logical thought on the horizon...

How would you know you are still ahead if you check flopand villain bets on turn? And if you decide to call will you call on river too?

I described in the post u said it was blank.

Its not about "knowing u are ahead", cause u ll never have this certainty. But keeping the range wide and show weakness in a way villain can bluff more, and u gain extra value. Since we dont have 3 streets of value w this hand anyway.
Plus, we control the pot.

Do you have some problems with reading?
You didn't say anything about the river... Will you call another bet on river?

You guys are crazy, stop spamming

The problem is when villain bets on turn

Villain betting on turn isn't problem in my eyes.. I'll always call a decent bet OTT with our hand which is nothing more than a bluff catcher.

how would you know where you are after you check on flop?

We don't bet on the flop to know where we are, if we bet OTF it's only for value, the same thin value we could make OTT..

And so when we call turn, it will depend on the sizing we have to face on the river, but still we just have a bluff catcher, and not sure that villain bluff that often on this spot..

Thats a great thing u mentioned, the so called "bet for information".
Betting to know "where we are" doesnt make sense for me. When u bet for value and get called, this is information already... but u made the bet cause believes it has value. If dont, them dont worth doing it.

With this hand, since we cant bet for value in 3 streets, checking flop its not a crime and seems really reasonable.
