Should I be folding the turn? I'm definitely beat on the river right?

The eight changes literally nothing, why do you think you re beaten otr but not ott. He could have had 66, i doubt about better aces. Either he hit otf the nuts or started bluffing what ended up going all in otr. He might have had Ax, i don't think AQ AK tho.

I actually thought he could have AK or AQ. I didn't have a lot of hands on him (about 40) but from the hands I did have he seemed like a passive player. He had a pfr under 5.

I wouldn't be surprised if he called AK in that spot. The question in my mind was whether or not he's playing this way with AT. I really don't think he is.

I think he can still bet the turn with something like KK or QQ, which is why I called the turn. But when he shoves the river, I don't think he's bluffing, I think if I'm lucky he shows AT, but more likely he has 66 or an Ax that beats me.

He could possibly have a flush draw that he bluffs on the river, but I don't think so. At this level players prefer to play their draws more passively, I don't think his donk/raise on the flop is indicative of a draw, and his pot sized bet on the turn looks like value to me. I've clearly shown to him that I like the flop, so he wants to maximize the value on turn so he can shove the river.

If I had to guess, I'd say he has exactly 66.

I am taking the line call-call-evaluate here if sizes are reasonable. I am not raising on the flop.

A lot depends on what, if any, read you have on this villain. If he is a tight reg its a call-call-evaluate line as Yohan said.

Vs loosey goosey I'm shoving the flop. Goosey is calling many Ax hands and shoving them all here, so you lose to three and beat the rest. Good trade (before you even count goosey shoving underpairs / 6x / flushdraws).

So everything rides on the villain. In the absence of a read its generally safer to play the cheaper option (in this case, call-call).

I think that after calling the nearly pot turn bet, we are calling the river.

You have 40 hands on villain. If he has a 3bet range ( you have see him 3bet at least something) I think he will 3bet AK,AQ here. He has many weaker Ax hands. River changes nothing, easy call.. OTF he re-raises us, can we just shove there or raise the turn? It is clear that he is pretty interested and might easily call with a worse hand.

I think that when villain leads here, we can go the hand w a x/c line... Keeping his range wide.

We can't x/c since we are IP and villain bets every street. On which street would you like to call? I doubt he has AQ or AK only hand that is realistic and beats us is 66. We are most likely ahead vs lower Ax and there is 2 flush draws.

I am worried to play for stacks here...
Hero says villain is passive. ..

Villain 3bets otf- He has 66 or Ax.

He should 3bet AK and AQ pf

OTR vs a range that is 66,AJs-A5s and AJo-ATo you have 60,71% equity.

ez call on the river.

IMO the worst line is this that you took- calling turn and folding river. the river 8 changes nothing from the turn. If you were ahead ott you are ahead otr so no need to call ott and fold otr.

I would play the flop same way as you did- then check/call turn and river. If villain does not shove otr I am shoving on the river.

Reason for check/calling is letting villain bluff/overplay some of his hands - Also if you have a flush draw here you are not shoving it in otf or ott. Calling with Ax hands keeps that in balance.
