I did it 3 month's almost everyday and then I got headache. Even when I was sleeping I was thinking about how much more bread, how much more butter en I was hearing the machines. crazy! So i stopped working there. Now I feel much better and yeah I want to succeed in poker too :)

Anyway'ss take care of yourself may god bless you with you health! Keep crushing!

@Clownrush
Well ofc I will continue this challenge. It will be just extended to 1/2 million. This is and will be my poker adventure diary. As long as I play this thread will be open.
And I believe the headaches might be even some sort of burnout signal for a person. Health be with you as well mate, and GL for your poker career.

@ilidek
Well I have to if I want to drive jet ski vs you in Dubrovnik:f_cool::f_biggrin:

@nguyengiapvn
TX mate! And remember, you can become even better then me. GL GL!

@ 3dwaffle
TY buddy!

Hey guys,

Time to wrap up this June. Well, short month overall for me but pretty successful with a lot of news and changes.
First of all, I started bumhunting HU. I mean the reason is very simple. I mean I highly doubt that a winning mid stakes reg can't sit on HU tables wait for a weaker player and win money. Ofc that doesn't mean he will have the same WR as HU specialist but beating the weaker player he is certainly able to do. As far as I noticed switching from 6max to HU is IMO easier compared to the other way around. I mean this is my personal opinion but also based on facts if I compare the quality of play from HU players on 6max tables(only when fish) and the other way around anyway rarely happens since the 6max reg will rarely battle a HU reg. And yeah for the fish the 6max reg should have sufficient edge to beat the fish for a couple of BB's. Results wasn't very good because because a NL600 fish did crush me but the fact is that I also don't really get much action. If it's not anyway a very big fish I won't play him because sometimes it's confusing to play 6max, FR and HU at the same time.

Next news is that I started to sit on any lines ups on all NL200 tables. Ofc if there is a weaker table I won't say no because of some reg battle pride, but I find it very interesting to sit on full reg table and wondering who is paying the rake. On NL400 I can sit on most tables but there are lines where I don't understand who is actually paying the rake. But yeah, I very rarely underestimate my edges. Certainly a big goal of mine is to be able to play anyone up to NL1k so I can start focusing to learn other poker formats to finally pursue my big wish to become an allround player.

About the month itself, it was very good. I mean I just worked on 7 days(44h) and made more then 10k$(post RB). But I also run pretty hot. I mean the coolers that you normally lose I just consistently suck out and that on the highest stakes so ofc luck was on my side this month and that's the reason for such a high EV difference.
Definitely a big reason why I'm consistently improving is my student Carlo. He keeps inspiring me and feeding me with new knowledge and always pushing me to improve. In some areas he is actually stronger then I am and I'm very glad I had the chance to have him as a student.

For July I'm hoping to have fun in Dubrovnik, get back on pace and find a nice bootcamp place for a working marathon in August. The reason is because May and June are the months where I work way less the usual. It was last year the same case. So I'm hoping for better results in July. Will keep you update in the future posts.

TOTAL CHALLENGE: 211 258.7$(LAST UPDATE) + 8 994.71$(WINNINGS 7 DAYS) + 2 118.32$(RakeBack) = 222 371.73$ / 250 000$

TX man! Really appreciate it.:)

Hello everyone,

How you are enjoying yourself this summer?I could answer that question very easily but probably not in a way a professional should answer it:D
But yeah, this month was action packed and let's start.

Basically the first 17 days I spent in Sweden and Norway. Was super chilly, as I hang out a lot in the nature and was visiting around a lot of cool stuff. Also I did the temperature since it was mostly sunny with modest temperature around 23-24C.Both countries are pretty expensive and for the problem was also I have to go to liquid store to buy alcohol. WTF? For me drinking a beer or a glass of wine is part of day in summer and not being possible to do so and especially this ''trips'' where a pain in the ass. Maybe I'm too ''Balkan'' type of guy for this kind of things. Besides this I found both countries very interesting, but probably to raise a family rather then being a young poker player.

Next thing I came home to Croatia, besides the 15C temperature shock, I jumped in the car and drove to Dubrovnik to the meeting. Since I suggested Dubrovnik I was really hoping that people will have a very nice time and will enjoy their stay besides like the official part. In the end it seemed like everybody had learned a lot about mindset and attitude in general and also had a very nice time off the seminars. I mean discovering Dubrovnik and it's archipelago with a jet ski was an amazing idea although we drove it like wild people(that's what the guide said since he wanted to bring us back after 15min:D), but also the party in fortress dating from 15. century, part of the UNESCO heritage was really cool. It was just so cool to meet up with all this guys, have fun and get motivated, because everybody that came there got home motivated and actually realized how little they actually achieved and how much more is possible. Guys it was my pleasure to meet up with you and looking forward to the next one.

Anyway I drove home and all of sudden my car died. WTF?? Anyway waiting to get it fixed after we had to find a new engine. Got stranded actually in pretty cool and nice place so I don't mind the adventure it's just that it kind of screw a bit my plans which brings me to the next part.

YES!YES!YES! I was never so happy about such a modest result like this month. I made just 7,5k$ but I was playing so terrible because of the tight schedule that I really should have deserved a losing month. But I dodged it in the last minutes of the month and I'm so happy. I was playing 20 tables at times and I was like timing outing as hell, made a lot of bad plays/missreads, without breaks etc. Ofc I didn't run particularly well on the NL1k and NL600(8k$ hole) but that is really no excuse for my bad performance at the tables and should have been punished. The whole tight schedule and the mass grind was completely out of my comfort zone and probably isn't my real strength. I personally see this as a warning for the future and so I will probably make some sort of lockdown in August because I really want to show again commitment to the game and prove that I can still be the''good old grind Hans''. Because less then 200 hours in 2 months is really a poor perfomance. In the end I have to remember myself that creating good working ethic as a young person without commitment is way harder then actually losing them.

Poker wise, interestingly , I save this month TX to HU. Otherwise I would have had a pre RB losing month. Also I thinking about dropping the NL600 and NL1k tables because of the hugh impact on the month. If I run good on the them 20k$ is really easy but if I run bad, oh boy, and the sample size that I will make will never be really relevant since this stakes for now I can only bumhunt. To an certain extend it feels like I'm praying to variance let me win more flips or give me more coolers, because I really doubt in some line ups the air gets really tight for me unless the fish is really huge. So I either have to be more strict or even take care about the lineups/quality of the fish because I'm a bit money scared and there are a lot of players that I will start crying on certain boards. And I have to play them. But yeah, now let's see some graph and pics:

TOTAL CHALLENGE: 222 371.73$(LAST UPDATE) + 229.47$(WINNINGS 24 DAYS) + 7 250.43$(RakeBack) = 229 851.63$ / 250 000$

So the goals for August will be:

- Grind at least 250h( Highest priority)
- Finish 250k$ Challenge(cool thing because it would almost a year since I finished 100k challenge)

That's it for this update. This time I will say that I might need the GL! GL!:)

Hello fellow poker players,

It's time to wrap up the month. It's been a long one and it has left me with mixed feelings. But let's start with my ''official'' lockdown.

The lockdown was supposed to start at the beginning of the month but due to some technical issues with my car I couldn't leave and the fact that my preodered flat wasn't in appropriately equipped, I had to postpone it till somewhere mid this month. When I got in I started putting my hours in but it in the end it was sort of shy for 40h given my highest priority goal(number of hours 250). I mean I'm not unsatisfied with 212h but still it leaves a bit of a bitterness inside me.

Now money wise, it was my best month ever with a little bit over 31,5k$ in profit(post RB). There are multiple reasons for such result and will listed below:

1. Variance
Well without a decent run on higher stakes you just can't make it. I already talked about my monthly results depending on variance on the high stakes. Everything went mostly my way and so, sometimes you really don't need to be a sicko at this game in order to make money.

2. Volume
This is, I guess, standard reason.

3.Summer in Europe
This is a very important reason. If you take a closer look at my blog you could see that my best months were always when it was getting hotter outside. Now, from my experience during this project, it seems to me like the winning players enjoy summer in all it's beauty to the point where they get lazy about sitting in from of the PC and grind. This creates and environment where the RB grinders have to keep doing from they are living from and so the line ups become way more softer. In short words, a winning player will make during summer even more money. Not always the case ofc, but surely a very good situation for winning players to be in.

That all being said, I actually don't think I improved much and this result is really amazing, but as I know already, summer results are hardly a mirror of your quality and the real results are mostly seen in Winter, especially January,February.
I'm really happy to have finally book a +30k$ month, although at the end it was just playing NL100 and 200 to pick the RB and bonuses and hold on to the 30k$. Little bit of chickenish from me, but I missed it already twice for a couple of hundreds of $, so this time I said no way, not gonna happen again.

But there are some negative things about this month. First thing, I was really close to make 40k$ at one point. I had a dream scenario, HU vs fish NL1k. If I take his stack I'm pretty sure I will make it but I failed to play my best and due to some good fish run + me playing my B-C game I couldn't stack him and he actually ended up winning against me and then quitting. The fact was I was already in the session for 10h grinding +12 tables and when he came I was tired and exhausted but I had the chance to prove myself when it comes to the point where I had to pull out my best once again, I failed. Arrggghhh.....so angry at myself about it, about this situations.

Next fail is....I had to end my coaching for profits deal. I'm really sad about it because had a really good connection with him and I'm very happy to had a chance to be his coach because he forced me to be better. It wasn't for me the most lucrative investment ever, but I learned a lot during this time and certainly this experience made me a better player and coach. I also made some mistakes during the coaching for profit that brought to the end of the deal. TX Carlo and GL for the future!

Now, time for some pics:

TOTAL CHALLENGE: 229 851.63$(LAST UPDATE) + 20 990.90$(WINNINGS 26 DAYS) + 10 705.77$(RakeBack) = 261 548.30$/ 250 000$

Overall very happy to have completed this challenge. It's like a very big milestone and I will continue playing and being around for another 250k(at least I hope so). So the new target is 500k$.
Now gonna take a day off to celebrate, but then back on the tables and with a nice report for this challenge. I would also say TY guys for being part and following this journey of mine and I hope the fun ride will continue. GL!GL!

@ druzhische
TX man! A coaching probably won't happen but in some of my future videos you might get a chance to get some hands reviewed. Just follow poker forums.:)

@iphone5s111
TY buddy! Glad you could find inspiration. About your question, well, I'm not that much in contact with him nowadays so I'm probably not the right person to answer. GL to you as well!

Hi guys,

It's time for an update. September was a mediocre month. I mean it's OK-ish but I didn't like my performance. I was again too much traveling through Europe to get a hold and was relaxing a bit too much. It might not be visible through my playing days but certainly volume and 125h isn't really my standard. But again with over 15k$ won postRB I really shouldn't be the one to complain.
It's just I'm so unsatisfied about my performance that it's making me angry. Of course I was at times tabling 16-18 tables and being out of my comfort zone while playing in 99% of line ups I just simply have to compromise somewhere. It's just a fact and whether I like it or not I have to deal with it. Maybe I'm too much of perfectionist and this is a way of maturing for me.

Anyway that's pretty much it for the month in terms of words I'm gonna say, but there are some pics coming as always:

TOTAL CHALLENGE: 261 548.30$(LAST UPDATE) + 9 841.12$(WINNINGS 24 DAYS) + 6 155.62$(RakeBack) = 277 545.04$/ 500 000$

Now I'm gonna say goodbye and leave you with an idea why it was so hard to hit the online felts:

Hold'em Brewery. Slogan: The brewery that doesn't bluff. Like!

and a new video:

That's it.GL and cya!:)

You are great and an inspiration for me , especially your hard work and your average play time per month.

DO you never play zoom tables? Is the lineup so much tougher? what about limits like nl50 do you think a high wr like 5-10bb/100 is on zoom table still feasible?
What is your wr on different limits?

Regards, Daniel

TY buddy! I actually played fast poker formats during my career but currently I don't. I believe fast poker games are generally tougher but I'm pretty sure that 5-10bb/100 @NL50 is certainly possible although if you would have such a WR you might wanna think about moving up:f_biggrin:

Hi everyone,

Time to show my results for October. October was socially a very active month which is why volume and playing hours(105) weren't so good. I mean the results are way better then my overall attitude towards my job. Also I think my performances at the tables were so various that it's kind of miracle that I got a 20k$ month. In general the whole month was pretty swingy on the tables, not only because my performances, but also because I played in a lot of tough lines. I have to say that I'm not good enough for some line ups. In some spots or days I felt destroyed while on others I was the destroyer. This means that I feel too much variance and so it gets swingy as well with confidence boosts.

TOTAL CHALLENGE: 277 545.04$(LAST UPDATE) + 12 477.52$(WINNINGS 22 DAYS) + 8 043.90$(RakeBack) = 298 066.46$/ 500 000$

Not much more to say for this update. I think November is gonna be more interesting;). Till then GL at the tables and cya!:)

Hey guys,

So it's time to wrap up November. If I would need to say one word that would best describe this month, I guess it would be something like ''Hans you got punished for being lazy''. Now the longer version goes something like this:
In the beginning of the month I got hit by variance pretty brutal especially on NL1k tables. But as always it's not all about variance. There was something wrong. I didn't look the whole month at my graph but I felt something isn't right. Some of my frequencies are over the top(when I saw the graph I got the confirmation) and felt like I'm very undisciplined. I felt like I was ''behind the curve'' and people caught up.Then there were some wedding and some other trips which again made me play less and I was stuck in a hole deep 11k$ at times. And I wasn't really putting volume and this thing hunted me despite not being able to play. Then I got the last week of November and made my comeback and fell short for 800$ to avoid my first pre RB losing month. It was a chase that last till yesterday 23:59 when 1min later I officially had a losing month pre RB.Ironically 5min before the deadline I had JJ vs AK on NL400 that would have brought me ''salvation'', but it simply wasn't supposed to be. And in some way I didn't deserved it to be honest.

For me this is a hit and a warning sign. In a sense that I got lazy and I got punished. That's why you have to love a downer sometimes. It's just like a slap in the face and once you realize what happened, you start again taking things more serious. So for example this month I play about 95h and 1/2 of it were in the last 7 days. And since the edges are getting smaller more volume will be required especially when you run and play bad on the highest stakes. Luckily there were some nice promos and I got a very nice RB but overall a very ''interesting'' month from which I got a lot to learn.

TOTAL CHALLENGE: 298 066.46$(LAST UPDATE) - 788.28$(WINNINGS 16 DAYS) + 9 131.07$(RakeBack) = 306 409.25$/ 500 000$

So for the end I wanted to say, given the fact that the number of PM's I get is increasing, I want to briefly tackle some of the most common questions I get.
Also it was very different compared to the new version so it's hard for me to tell what can you expect there. So if you are interested PM guys who are actually currently in the program or those who just lately finished.
To the topic whether 6max or HU I can just say that HU shows faster results(nature of the game). Also there are way more success stories from HU then 6max and way more people gave up/failed the 6max program then HU. AFAIK I never heard about someone switching from HU to 6max while the other way around happened a few of times. About PLO and SNG I can't really say anything because I don't know much about.

I hoped with this few sentences that I answered some of the most common questions and if you still have a question you can ask ITT so anybody can read it.
That's it. TTYA guys by the end of the year.Cya!:)

TBH, didn't even realize this. LOL

Hey guys,

Long time no update. Before I start my update I would like to wish all followers a happy and successful New Year. Was once again a nice pleasure sharing my journey with you.:)
Now what to say about December? Second losing month. I didn't put a lot of volume and I was enjoying a lot of festivities and didn't put any effort in turning things around.
The last 100k hands(December and November) I didn't win anything(actually I lost 2k$, although I'm 6,5k$ in EV) I can definitely say I'm pretty sure it's one of those bad 100k runs that happens every 2million hands but I also wasn't playing really good. I was really poor, almost to a level where I got really really lazy and didn't have any job obligations. I don't know what was the reason(probably very settled with the money) but I'm guessing that maybe reaching some of goals earlier then expected sort of killed my motivation to play. Hate this feeling when I only play because it's my job or because I'm obligated. Guess lesson learned.

So overall I made 2,5k$(post RB) which is OK given my poor performance but still........mehh. Anyway let's see some picks:

At least red line finally normal:D

and I have to celebrate a milestone for this challenge with a 2 Million Hands Graph:

TOTAL CHALLENGE: 306 409.25$(LAST UPDATE) - 2 642.75$(WINNINGS 16 DAYS) + 5 110.44$(RakeBack) = 308 876.94$/ 500 000$

2015 Report

So let's review 2015. First full year ''on my own'' and I have to say I in the big picture satisfied.
I made over 150k$ overall(had first +30k$), traveled consistently and improved in a lot of aspects. I guess most of my goals for the year were achieved although the end of the year left me a big impact on me. Also health wise it wasn't the best year.
When I look back at year I see that I could have made way, way more. Easy 200k+. I mean if I wouldn't have been so unprofessional in certain parts of the year that number would have been easy to crush.
But asides from the numbers this are the things that for me have the most value:
- I need a routine(can't change consistently places)
- I need to always find some sort of motivation otherwise I'm screwed
- Focus more on health

This very simple 3 things that everybody knows are the 3 most important things that I take from 2015 and start with them 2016 smarter. For you I leave a graph of the year:

So what to expect from 2016?
So 2016 I decided to go back to bumhunt exclusively. In 2015 I 99.99% playing on only 1 very famous site and I could satisfy myself that I played in really challenging line ups, could afford to play on any lineups up to 400 but I don't see that as the most profitable thing in 2016. Already this month report will be screwed because I don't have HH from some network(saving HH is gonna become a crime lol) and it's sort of ridic how big the differences is between the technical levels on top sites and small skins. Anyway I established after a lot of thinking that the most +EV decision for 2016 should be bumhunting. The goal should be to finish this challenge.

Another thing is that I expect to learn a new format either PLO, MTT or another card game. Just to add a new potential source of money. After February I hope I will only play 400+ and I think once I polished my game again I think it's gonna be a great time to finally make a step forward to the ultimate goal ''become an all round'' poker player.

Anyway that's it. It's a long update, I hope you enjoyed it and I'm gonna be back somewhere in February. GL at the tables!:)

Hey guys,

I'm back with the first update for 2016. So January was the classic month were I'm a bit lazy, tired and for the first time I was a bit ''searching myself''. This happened to me for the first time. I should probably explain myself a bit better.
Basically November and December were bad months because I lacked motivation. Now this lack of motivation came from the fact that I reached my yearly goals somewhere mid November. Now I don't want this to happen again but still I found myself starting 2016 without a clear goal. Then I was thinking for a while, looking at around, searching for this something that will bump my motivation to a higher level. I was even thinking about it while I was on ski vacation because I was looking at all this nice cars and I thought about for a while buying myself one. But in the end, my rational mindset came to a conclusion that it doesn't make much sense for me to buy a car since I'm anyway not into cars and I drive like 4 times a month and on top of that I don't want to get motivated by something that will lose value every year. But then I somehow hit me, this old dream of mine, having something like this:

Once I got enthusiastic about it, results got better. I was more sever on myself, I was happy again sitting down and grinding. Because in the end, everything is actually already set up in some way, it just all comes down to me grinding the $. So short term goal till June is to grind to buy the land.

In regards, to my playing results, as I announced I started to play on banana sites as well and so the graph below is incomplete(miss 3504.76$).

TOTAL CHALLENGE: 308 876.94$(LAST UPDATE) + 6 785.95$(WINNINGS 16 DAYS) + 4 479.66$(RakeBack) = 320 142.55$/ 500 000$

So the year started with a nice 11k$ month which I will very gladly take given my bad performance in the beginning, ski holidays and I had to relocate. Not even my playing hours look that bad with 120. Anyway biggest issue solved, let's see how February will come out. GL!
