Today we had an epic coaching imo. First of all we had tons of interesting hands to talk about. Second: there was a nice fish on the table who started to flame me. The listeners and me where answering in a very friendly manner and we asked him for a Hu match. Unfortunatly he refused that offer, even after 20 minutes of friendly invites.

Our opponent was a kinda solid tag.

The preflop call is standard because we are so deep. We hit a good board and our plan is to c/c. We do not donk becausde we don't want to get raised. As he checked behind the flop I thought my hand is probably good and bet out on the turn. So far, so standard. Now: The river brings the set and we have 2 options: b/f or c/c.

Let's think about the handrange of our opponent. Preflop range: AQ+, 22+??, 67+??? that is the question, what is he 3betting with. Well, I would tend to the tighter side but we don't know.
I would take into consideration that he can have any set on this flop and he might have the straight.

Now: With what hands is he calling a bet on the river? I think he is calling any set and maybe an overpair, if he played it that way. Furthermore he might call with 2 pairs. He is raising the straight and maybe a set of tens. So actually there are just a few hands that he would raise and we don't beat any of them.

After thinking about it I think I took the right line, because there is still value and we can sefely fold to a raise. If he is a very good player and willing to risk a lot he might bluff raise us, but I don't think he is.

problem: 89 is so unlikely, because he had to call a gut shot on the turn. 68 is unlikely because we have 66. raising a hand that's not making the straight would be sick.

I made a pretty loose steal here and flopped a pair. Cbet is standard as well as turn bet is. We got more outs and we still have fold equity. On the river however our hand didn't improve. I decided to turn my hand into a bluff because I thought Villlain can't be very strong, otherwise he would have raised me somewhere, but he probably has my 4 beat. I put him on a 7. Unfortunatly he wasn't able to lay he pair of 8s down.

We had some agruments about this hand in the coaching. Some listeneres said I would never get it in good here. I disagree with that. I think we will get it in good most of the times. We obv. have a monster draw and have outs against everybody.
