Turning a made hand into a bluff

I think both preflop call and turn bluff are bad for the very same main reason.

In position with fish in the pot with deep stacks, you can play as many hands as your postflop skills allow you to do. This can definitely include QJo. But the stacks are the opposite of deep here.

Bluffing turn targets a very small range of hands because you have top pair and need folds from overpairs. Two pair and flush draws aren't folding often because it is part of the calculation that UTG is a fish. Add to that that villain is pot-committed.

Ok now that I re think this hand this is bad shove(like you all have said ). I am not really repping any hand by shoving(why would I shove a flush here IP when I could do that otr) + villain is too pot committed+ I have around 0% equity when called + I block his Jx hands that are in villains bet/fold range+ I dont block any flushes.

So I played this hand really really bad. But I like to post these hands here. Thanks for all of you and I will fold QJo here next time!

Lets say hero holds a small suited connector flush 7h8h. Calls the flop IP after the fish checks, not a huge chance of x-r from a fish.

Turns the flush, pot now heads up. Shoves for value and to protect it from Ahx Khx hands. We are only half stack effective so no reason not to take that as value with a small flush / be scared of F > F, and no reason to let a H come on the river and kill our value.

So the hero's line makes a ton of sense, in terms of how to play a small flush.

Ok but it doesn't matter if villain holds the nut flush.

Hero shouldn´t reailly have there small flushes in his callingrange vs UTG open.

True enough, but try telling that to the general player population who a absolutely can have a small flush there

Of course the general population wouldnt consider the danger of flatting the turn and would probably flat intending to shove blank rivers...

QJ on MP facing a raise from UTG is a fold and not even a 3Bet unless you have 4 extreme nits behind you IMO
