Known players:
[tg]BB$36,40:///////;Hero$26,55:///////;[/tg]
0,1/0,25 No-Limit Hold'em (9 handed)
Hand recorder used for this poker hand: PokerStrategy Elephant 0.67 by www.pokerstrategy.com.

Preflop: Hero is MP3 with K♦, Q♦
4 folds, Hero raises to $1,00, 3 folds, BB calls $0,75.

Flop: ($2,10) 9♠, A♥, 2♣ (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $1,25, BB calls $1,25.

Turn: ($4,60) 5♣ (2 players)
BB checks, Hero checks.

River: ($4,60) K♠ (2 players)
BB bets $4,60, Hero folds, BB gets uncalled bet back.

I would call the river if he bet less. However, his pot size bet indicates that he is either bluffing or trying to catch the value which he missed with a made hand.

Final Pot: $4,60

I'm definitely calling.
He could be bluffing like you said. He could hold a weaker king. He hardly ever has AK, cause few people CC AK pre.

After he checks 2streets OOP. After you check behind on the turn, he could EASILY be bluffing you out. I sincerely believe with all my  that you have him beat very often there.

After he calls the flop, he usually has Ax. Since I checked behind, he might think to get some value (if any) with his weak Ace

no information on opponent but if he is mediocre this is a typical try-to-slowplay line and then pop out a huge bet on the river.
i like folding - besides since there aren't any draws out there, we exclude the possibility that he bluffs with a busted draw.
2-2.50 ok to call but pot bet is not worth it IMO.

My thoughts were the same. Probably, I would call up to $3 (maybe $3,5).

Once he bets pot river, I would fold.
