Hi,

I'm currently working with Equilab & Flopzilla and would like to save calling ranges and 3-Bet ranges, so working with these programs will be easier.

I'd like to use 3 ranges; tight, normal and standard. However, I don't have much clue about what the ranges are these days on the microstakes NL2 up to NL25.

I have created some ranges, but I would appreciate it if people who play these stakes / coaches can comment on these. So far I only use polarized ranges for 3-Bets, since I have no clue what merged ranges I should use.

With pre-flop calling ranges I make a distinction between calling a pre-flop raise from UTG and MP and from CO, BTN and SB.

Calling ranges - raise UTG & MP:

Tight: QQ-88, AQs+, KQs, QJs, JTs, T9s, AQo+
Normal: QQ-22, AQs+, KQs, QJs, JTs, T9s, 98s, 87s, 76s, 65s, 54s, AQo+
Loose: QQ-22, ATs+, KTs+, QTs+, J9s+, T8s+, 98s, 87s, 76s, 65s, 54s, ATo+, KQo

Calling ranges - raise CO, BTN & SB:

Tight: JJ-22, AQs-AJs, KJs+, QJs, JTs, T9s, 98s, 87s, 76s, 65s, 54s, AQo-AJo, KQo
Normal: JJ-22, AQs-ATs, KTs+, QTs+, J9s+, T8s+, 98s, 87s, 76s, 65s, 54s, AQo-ATo, KJo+
Loose: JJ-22, AQs-A8s, A5s-A2s, K9s+, Q9s+, J9s+, T8s+, 98s, 87s, 76s, 65s, 54s, AQo-A9o, KTo+, QTo+

Polarized 3-Bet ranges:

Tight: QQ+, AKs
Normal: JJ+, AQs+, AKo
Loose: TT+, AJs+, KQs, AQo+

I understand using these ranges this way aren't optimal, since calling and/or 3-Bet ranges differ of course depending on position etc, but I like to keep it a bit simple.

Again, feedback would be appreciated!

These ranges aren't the ranges I use. It's for working with Flopzilla, so it's meant as ranges for my opponents to start with handreading. I thought of rather using a bit tight ranges instead of too wide. The reason I post this is I have no clue what ranges to use to start working with.

The only distinction I made with regards to position is call a raise versus UTG & MP and a raise from CO, BTN and SB. I know this isn't optimal and ranges differ per position, but I also don't want to make it too complicated to work with.

With 3-betting I find it a bit hard. Some like to 3-bet , besides the value hands, with A5-A2s, small pocket pairs, suited connectors etc, but some also with stuff like K7s etc.

With regards to polarizing; polarizing, merged etc These terms only get me confused :f_drink:

Maybe you could check out w34z3l's ranges and use those as guideline. Then manually change them a bit if your villain is tight or loose, or create a new range based on those.

Your 3bet range seems to be merged. Polarized means that you have value 3bets and bluff 3bets, for example AA and 67s. In merged range you have kind of expanded value range, meaning you will 3bet AJs etc hands you would normally just call.

Filter on hem the hands that pot was 20bb+ and hero vpip, setup so hem will not show you he hands and go to showdown true. The try right down or guess on flopzilla what hands villain could had on rivers, that was help my game very well.

I prefer to have ranges vs each position. There is a difference sometimes.
It is a good idea to see w34z3l's ranges indeed. They will give you a good starting point.

Maybe this could help you. Those are w34z3l's ranges with slight modifications. You should go to "Download"/"Direct Download" (upper right). The file is made in Excel and to use it, you should have Microsoft Excel installed and macros enabled. I didn't complete the file yet, but it should help.

Oh my god that is beautiful... I have my ranges in Excel too but that is just amazing.
How did you create that?

I see you have protected this with password so I can't edit those ranges. Do you wish to keep it that way or can you post a version that can be edited? =) I would love to start using that.

BTW: I noticed you have super wide SB range and you open limp a lot. Is that working?

It is normal to have wide Sb range as players do not protect their BB much.

You can unprotect it with BD86tJzZ. Just don't tell the password to anyone. :sifflote:

Open raise ranges are standard and are the minimum that should be used vs anyone. Vs some players we should go wider and vs some we should open raise 100% (if they fold like 60% or smth). Open limping ranges are w34z3l's ranges vs fish.
