I think self analysis is a big aspect. I mean, as i'm sure with NLHE (cash games in particular), conversation is crucial to improving your game so I made sure I found and contributed towards some chat groups. Interact with regs whose game I respect etc. Understanding equities vs ranges initially is relatively fun too, I mean in 3-bet pots vs nits who hold AAxx the majority of the time. If we flop a pair on a rainbow board we are likely good to call 1 street considering we will always be ~40% vs AAxx in that spot. Initially I just insta-mucked now considerations are taken; how likely is villain to stack off on the turn, how much do i need to make to make this a profitable call etc etc.Overall I think conversing has helped the most however I feel like I need to talk to some higher level thinkers in order to emulate a higher level of understanding now which I am finding a little difficult cos who wants a 10PLO noob jumping in on the 100PLO chats.

Had one of my worst days of Poker yet, not game wise just EV wise. 10BI below ev, 2BI down EV but I am 12BI down. I also played the satelites, with a push fold chart, unfortunately the run bad is just too true.

Thats the months. But rather frustrating. I don't think there is anything I could really do. A lot of the downswing is people flopping well vs my 4-bet AAxx leaving spr >2 so I pot protect and getting called vs villain flopping set or wraps etc and obviously losing. Btw played couple of sessions at micro plo just for fun and rake seems unbeatable...how fast do u rake BI? How many hands does it take on pokerstars for u on average? I am asking since i heard many times that plo is beatable from plo25 due to high rake...

The rake is atrocious, for instance I consider just calling with the nuts when it is a chop to avoid losing money to the rake. In a chop you can lose 4bb and it is insane. Of course if you have high rakeback this is generally not an issue. The rake structure at PLO is very unfair for regular players compared to NLHE, if you go to a couple posts you will see the link I posted of the Rake Analysis compared to NLHE over 2+2. Of course win rates are higher though so it evens out. You have to focus on good table selection and quality of play, auto-piloting games is a poor decision in my opinion. Also, playing zoom is very high in rake so if you farm VPPs then it is good for that but zoom is so unfairly raked its atrocious.
In terms of rake attributed in BI's, I just did some quick sums for this month at 5PLO seen as I have th emost volume ther and it takes me ~750 hands to acrue 1BI in rake, of which I get arround 25-30% back through FPP's but then using that for satelites opens you up to swings haha .

Been putting a lot of work in to my game away from the tables recently, purchased another screen also so I can manage more tables than the 6-max I can play on my Laptop. Been swinging relatively big relative to the last few months but I am pleased with my play.
FPP Satelites
Took another go with the FPP's I have earned this month on the satelites, this time I tried the $3.30 70FPP satelites, I cashed in 5/8 for a return of T$16.50, and only spent 540fpps, this is much more effective that the VPP store but of course you have to account the previous run bad I had in the 235FPP satelites. It will all balance out over time however and I think I will play more of these and go for volume in them. I have enough FPP's to play 7 more currently but I am in no rush.

So I never stopped playing, just stopped posting as much. I am playing with the thought of reviving this purely as somewhere to post thoughts, updates and track progress. It cannot do me any harm. I will not delve too much in to my strategies but I will post HH's, game adjustments and random shit over the summer as well as University stuff.
