CO: $1.66 - VPIP: 21, PFR: 13, 3B: 0, AF: 0.0, Hands: 24

So CO is unknown. Flop comes with a K and checked because I believe my hand isn't good for 3 solid streets of value.
J comes OTT and when I raise, I isolate myself vs AT and sets.
River comes, villain could be stabbing with AK or AQ but also better hands. Bet was not too big and didn't have to win often here so I decided to call it down.

Hero has seen Villain play five hands. In those five hands he bet nor raised. In this hand he barrels on every street. Even on the river, which is a blank. So IMO Hero folds on the river.

Villain makes half pot bets so we can call and make a note.

I think you should Cbet flop, you have to think you have the best of that flop the most of the time, so you bet for value (the information is extra). if you don't want to bet 3 streets with that hand you could check/call the river or may be the turn (depending on the cards), OOP is harder to control the pot..

as played I like the call on the turn.
the river is difficult because he 3-barrels so we have to think he have something.. I'm pretty sure AK, QQ+ would raise preflop. AQ, AJ probably too but that depends on the villain. so we beat bluffs, QJ, A4s, may be a J4s/J7s (but it will be weird), sometimes AJ or AQ and we lost to KQ, 44, AT. you need to win 25% of the time, so its a call

You can't bet 3 streets but you can't call 3 streets either without improving. I think you should just cbet flop for value, you will get called by many worse hands. That also makes it easier for us to play other streets. If villain checks behind OTF, we just lose value and give free cards to him. If villain bets vs your missed cbet, what you gonna do OTT or OTR when he keeps on betting?

Unusual line, but don't even think about folding river the way the hand went. What do you require? Straight flush? Your hand is face up (weak) so the villain can easily think about bluffing you off. Don't let him do it this cheaply (1/2 pot OTR).

It is as good a reason as any other reason, just not on its own. You can definitely use it as a tie breaker in close situations like here.
