Villain: Seems somewhat LAG from the limited sample. 3b = 11% 3/27

Preflop: Flat or 4b? If I 4b small then I think villain will only 5b QQ+,AKo. If I 4b shove villain probably calls with the same range, maybe JJ+, AQs+. If I flat I keep in some of villains weaker range and perhaps some 3b bluffs. I felt more inclined to flat since I have AKs rather than AKo, because AKs should play much better postflop.

1. Your sample is too small.. Those 3 hands he did 3bet can have easily be for value, doesn't mean anything
2. That is a squeeze so it might be wider than if this was single raised pot
3. This is a 4bet like always, at least for me

I m going to 4bet this hand also. The fact that its suited just make me more inclined in calling a 5bet.

Cheers guys,

@Afulibador

I wan't really considering flatting a 5b due to stack sizes though. When someone 3b's an MP o/r OOP I almost always assume its for value QQ+ and AK. I'm just not a big fan of flipping for stacks. Maybe it's a mindset issue but that's not how we make money in poker is it? If I have AKo then I'm happier to rip it in because AKo lives off it's fold equity. However, when I have AKs I think there will be more opportunities to outplay or outflop my opponent postflop IP.

as played i would call flop and see what happens at turn ( we do have backdoor flush draw + overcards) and his 3bet squeeze range could be a wide range, sample size is to small but if hes loose and aggro i dont mind just to call preflop and let him do mistakes

i also think you are wrong if you assume he have allmost allways QQ+ Ak in this situation,, alot of guys 3 bet here alot with a wide range just to steal the pot against 2 players

I also dont like to flip with Ak since if we do flip in most cases we are up against QQ+ and its for me a gamble ( which i personally try to avoid) easier ways to make money :f_cool:

muel294, u are not wrong when say its suited and ll help the playability posflop. But, in the same way, this hand still get the folds u mentioned when 4bets, and gets a bit more equity when calls a 5bet.
I really dont have ANY problem by flipping stacks, its way better than 4bet fold w this hand (if u go to a 4bet).

I prefer calling for if SB is suspected of being a reg. This means he'll squeeze plenty, including with bluffs. We have position and can probably extract more playing well postflop than by flipping with slightly +EV.

Actually, this flop should not at all be to SB's liking (unless he was on a bluff with suited connectors). I am floating flop to see what develops. There are some fake outs here.

I would call if i know the opponent, have reads or notes on him. By default it's a 4b/call for me(if not UTG). AK hits the flop 1 of 3 times. So to call every
squeez/3bet and wait for an ace to come on the flop is not very profitable. If called preflop i would continue calling the flop if board somehow connects to AK. Here we have BDFD and 2 overcards...it's enough to call the flop to a 1/2 pot bet.

It is 5 bb to call with 92 bb more to bet and we don't need to hit to win versus range that possibly have up to 50% bluffs if he is squeeze happy. (I am talking about typical PS reg here.) Position rules in this game. I wouldn't throw it away. OOP or smaller stack to pot ratio is a completely different story.

I prefer to defend with 4b with this hand preflop.
Flop is good for us and we should call.
