It is interesting to me that to most people Texas Hold'em is the "normal" poker and the others are treated as "variations".
Texas Hold'em is a relative newcomer -- 5-Card Draw, 5- and 7-card stud and various lowball games have been played since the 1800s
I'm not sure where Razz fits in.

Razz is technically new (but i'm not 100% sure). That's why you can't find much information and the one you find Dr. Razz (SGspecial) wrote it. He owns the game.
Amaya killed Full Tilt Poker as you guys know and they also implemented the same theory on PokerStars, and Five-Card Draw was no exception. They implemented certain changes targeting the new players. They want new players in the game... they know they come and they leave after they lose, so they want them to be around longer and lose later. This theory is been implemented on the two biggest poker rooms and five-card draw also suffered those changes.

What u1ker just said is the very trued about this game at the moment. My country, Portugal now have close market (Spain, France, Italy), so no more ova13 for anyone. I played against the looser passive american players since 2010- and they were re-buying every 15 minutes, now i sometimes login and play some tables against one or two and i get amazed how can they have so much pos-draw advantages. This game is now good for looser players, is good to play more hands in certain ways. I don't care much anyway, i will not be able to play anymore.
Changes are sometimes good for the game. It will make you adjust your game strategy and give you a new type of rule. The only thing I don't like is I like the old one then suddenly changing it without giving notice on it.
